I did the same last night. I noticed that before I signed up the UND/Minn games were listed in the "Upcoming Live Events" area. After I created an account and signed up for the free trial the games now only show up as reruns at midnight. Do you see them listed as live events now? I can't check at the moment. I still have the possibility that my Hulu subscription will provide the games thru the B1G network, but I didn't see them listed there last night either.

And he chopped his GAA from 6.66 all the way down to 5.75! lol He did play well, though. It wouldn't have gone to OT without a couple really big saves. The Wild D needs some serious work.

My understanding is that the original plan was to keep the Steers name at the original location, but the person that took over for the original owner later decided to change the name of Steers after the Chino Latino name had already been made official for the new one. I never ate at Steers. Is the Chino menu the same as Steers was? I love those triangle pastry things with the ground beef and spices inside. The Chicken Curry is great, too!

I didn't attend games way back when and the memory of TV coverage is probably a bit fuzzy, but as I understand it that used to be the normal before Sept. 11, 2001. College and pro teams were not on the field, and TV and radio coverage were always on a commercial break during the anthem. Sept. 11 and the outpouring of patriotism changed that, and some of excesses of that time have hung on to become the "normal" now.

I have a neighbor with a CDL. He tells me the endorsement to transport school children is the hardest of all to earn. With a CDL you can drive a bus full of drunk adults around for a bachelor party Saturday night, but once the school kids board the exact same bus Monday morning you need an additional endorsement. He tells me it's actually easier to get a license to haul a 50' trailer of flammable liquid around town than it is to get a school bus endorsement.

Only place in town I know of where you can get Smithwicks on tap*. Love that stuff. Other than that, it's been a very underwhelming meal the couple times I've eaten there. *the Cay used to have it so many years ago but I haven't been there in quite a while... anyone know if they've brought it back?

Just to close the loop on this, I did a quick search, and yes, someone did ask her. She said she enjoyed her brief fame, but a few of her same-age friends at home in Northwood thought it "wasn't right to cheer for drinking beer." Lol. I'll give Beer Grandma a cheer, and raise a drink to that.

Because I said that the whole argument is dumb, and that I don't get the appeal of seeing an old lady take a sip of beer, but the people screeching about it sending a bad message are out of touch with reality? As for the first paragraph, maybe you should find a strain of weed that doesn't cause so much paranoia. The second paragraph, there absolutely were people yelling about the "imagery" and "sending the wrong message", and I agree with you that those arguments were completely out of touch with reality regarding the "Beer Grandma" thing.
