Honestly wondering, how does Massey work for ranking defense? Eye test tells me we weren’t a top 26 defense last year.

I wish it would be a blowout but I think it’ll be close. I think NDSU will be able to run the ball and sustain long drives on offense.

They really need Rucker to take another big step at OLB. In the last 360 article they were high on the Upper Iowa OLB transfer (John Butsch). They need this position to be significantly better than it has been the last couple of years. Think they are also banking on Erkman being a stud at safety, and need one of the transfers from West Virginia State to step up there as well. DL worries me. Again, will need a couple of the transfers and redshirt freshman from last year to step up. I’m trying to be optimistic about the defense next year but I have had trouble doing so considering how they’ve been the last couple of years. Considering he’s technically a defensive coach, Bubba and his staff needs to get this side figured out. They will be relying on some D2’s/Juco/NAIA players making the jump up so it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Alerus is terrible for basketball. Ralph would only be worth it if they sold a bunch of tickets.

Better than what I would have guessed too. The USD game helped, felt like that was the best game of the year by far on that side of the ball. They also played alright against bad teams like Drake and Western Illinois.

Even if he hit on the OC and OL hires it may not matter. All comes down to the defense next year IMO.

How much longer does Chaves have a job? I think he should be on the hot seat. If football and WBB struggle next year, which I can see happening, he should be out of a job.

I wonder how this getting NAIA/D3 transfers on the DL strategy is going to work out.
