Chaves made a bad extension and this new deal with Bubba basically spreads his buyout out further. With his job on the line I just don’t see why he would go with Fruechte.

NDSU and SDSU didn’t have impressive crowds either. You would assume that hosting a playoff game though would be a big deal for USD

The first half of the Weber State playoff game was the worst half of defense I had ever witnessed in my life. But then I watched the Sac State game, and that was even worse. Even if our defense were slightly below average instead of awful Bubba probably has 3 or 4 playoff wins.

Absolutely. Worst case scenario for me in this process is if nothing changes on the defensive side of the ball. If anyone on that side is retained I will be very disappointed.

The way they announced it was weird. It sounds like a lot of people think that it is more of a long term thing. My mind went there right away before I read the press release

NDSU players and former players did this with Roehl. In their case, I believe they made the correct decision to hire Polasek. As for UND, I would prefer them not to hire Fruechte. If they do, he better not retain anyone on the defensive staff and start over on that side.
