Drake is no good. SD is real good. They didn't lose much from last year and outside of a fbs loss, no one beat them by more then 10 points last year. It will be a tough game at their house. I have SD as the 4th maybe 3rd best team in the mvfc.
-
Exactly. 2-1 entering the big sky is a must!!
-
SD will be tough.....very tough.
-
Jmu will take the fcs championship again. Wow!!! They have the"it" factor! Way way better then any other fcs program......currently
-
Have to go with the real opponent. Playing the real opponent gives you the exposure( especially around nd, mn), great for recruiting and if you have a top 10 team(fcs) it's nice to see how you can compete. Also the fans get to experience a real stadium and real tailgating. Negatives would be , it's almost a guaranteed loss and the risk of injury to a "stud " player in a likely loss. Plain and simple ....if you want to be the best ....play the best.
-
They are fcs. They have like 5-6 wins in the last four years....bad!!
-
Mississippi st is fbs. They reside in the sec Unique question.
-
Correct. He was there one year.
-
No. I'm thinking of Troy Taylor. He was the co- OC at e wash...and qb coach as well. The main play caller however.
-
Stony has always had a hell of a D. Offense is a mess.
-
72 points so far for mizzou. Looks promising that the Rudolph led O will hang 20 on misery st.

Studsrud plays his best when UNDs offense has to play catch up...that's because they need to stray away from the obvious runs that the defenses know are coming and put 9 in the box. He gets in a comfortable "zone". Like UND football said ...50/50. There's a reason why his second half numbers are MUCH better. Set up the run with passing to begin a game once. On holms int...we all said to attack and go for 6!! Even the announcers mentioned it. Nope! Santiago. Love Santiago but the D knew exactly what was coming. Most our group that night were calling the plays before they happened. This team has weapons! Izzy is a weapon that was brought along to Utah to clap I guess. The TEs are weapons but they don't practice to throw to them.....hence why studsrud doesn't necessarily look their way.....they don't practice it. Use them!!!! It is so frustrating! The three headed rb crew should put up amazing numbers if utilized right. As should some TEs and WRs. Keaton is a senior and looked extremely confident and calm against Utah. He oozes leadership to go along with great huddle presence. This is his last year and should be primed for a great year.....utilize it!!

Yeah fitts is really good. Played as true fresh with ucla. Top 75 player out of high school.

Considering fresh Tobin was lined up against an all American, potential first round draft pick and brick sh$thouse , he performed really well. Kept Lowell in front of him most of the time. Lowell was winning the push game, which he does every game, but Tobin kept him away from the plays. Tobin was also outweighed by 50 pounds. Lowell had no sacks and 1 assisted tackle. That will be hands down Tobins toughest assignment of his career. Glad to have him for 4 years...he is going to be a stud. Bell I believe played sparingly

I'm glad you can be patient with him... my hair has gone from dark to gray to completely gone in four years. For UND to be considered a top level fcs program, the play calling needs to change drastically. I'm not taking style ( run heavy) but the predictability, the usage of personal....etc. Missouri st DC must be licking his chops.....crowd the line on 1st and 2nd downs and back off a tad on 3rd down. It's actually that easy. I feel a little sorry for Santiago ...he must know that there will be a wall of bigs waiting for him on those runs. There's talent on offense....wished it was used properly. Frustrating to say the least.

The OC for Utah came from E Wash, (I'm sure everyone is now aware), he is an offensive genius. That style of offense, in good weather, will put up video like numbers nearly every game. His e wash team last year lit up ndsu in the dome with 44 points and nearly 600 yards of offense. UND could of done better in some regards defensively but that style of offense with talent like that is scary. Hopefully und took a lot away from this game as the exact style of offense comes to when AL on. Nov 11. Just a little less talent. Although I put gubrud right up there with some of the more talented run/pass qbs in the country.

Unfortunately I don't see UND winning big next week. As bad as misery st is....... Rudolph is much worse
-
He keeps it rolled up in his arm pit all year.
-
Wasn't izzys shirt pulled?? Injured? He was suppose to be unds scat wr.....right? He was fantastic in fall ball. Rudolph figured it wasn't necessary ?? No need to throw on 1st and 2nd downs with Santiago....limits izzys chances.

OL will not go against a NFL front like that ever again. Thought they did admirably well .
-
I would be surprised if 95% of us thought UND would win. At times they looked to compete really well and other times no so much. Utah is a tough matchup. UND will get better and obviously there will not be a d line like that in fcs and their qb was insanely athletic. Add the OC from eastern Washington to that talent !!!! Wow!! E wash did remarkable things at the fcs level and he has better tools at Utah. We will see the same offense in nov at the AL. Gubrud is very similar to Huntley. Rudolph calls a horrible game.... AGAIN! It is very elementary. . Same play on 1st down four years running. I've bitched about him now for four years. I will keep bitching. Unbelievably predictable! Und will have a great year, this was just an expected bump in the road. Defense, minus injuries, will be really good. They had a lot of miscues against a very talented O. First game cobwebs are gone. Cant wait for misery st.

When Rudolph is forced to stray away from Santiago up the middle on every $$&$&@" 1st down they are a good offensive team.
