  1. 1. Without question it's Donnell for me. Have had a man crush on him since seeing him last year in practice. Unbelievable first step, very athletic and very defensive minded....wants to be in on every play and make it count. Love that guy. 2. Bennett. He is very similar in style of play with Donnell. Very disruptive on the edge. Plays at the deepest position for UND so he somewhat gets overlooked because of heavy rotation. Stud! 3. Tank. Monster! Crazy athlete for 300+ lbs and is the most vital individual in a 3-4 D. 4. Disterhaupt. Smaller guy but plays like a honey badger out there. Goes 100% every play and very bouncy. Could see him excelling with the move. Great great guy as well. Very dedicated 5. Torrey. Talent talent talent. Great hips and height for a CB and with a year under his belt I would expect an even bigger jump in production. Thought he was our best cover guy last year.
  2. Absolutely. If he is as good as I have him pegged for.....a combination of Donnell and noah for a couple years together....wow!! Two 6'1"-2" ish 235 ILB....with burst ! Donnell is a flat out stud, hope Noah can equal that.
  3. I'm quoting him and what he wrote on twitter. If he felt that way he should show it....Pledge you allegiance to bubba and crew. It's time for him to grow up and be big boy now. The first time was understandable this time, if true.....?
  4. His twitter said when recommitted in April: "blessed with an opportunity to finally play again and further my education" . That sounds like a profound statement . Sounds like a very committed young man that's wants to get an education (free) and progress as a player.
  5. My question would be...."why wouldn't he come back"!??
  6. The 2017 class is loaded. Agree with hambone, Zeke would be on here but the DL depth is deep. He has the luxury of redshirting 1-5: Noah, Haas, griebel, Randolph, blubaugh. wildcards: Tobin, cam
  7. I hear yeah. Non conference is very crucial....cannot start 1-2 going into league play like last. If they start 1-2 , one loss in conference is IT!! 3 losses overall . 3 losses will be playoff bound. two losses in conference with 4 overall, not sure it will get it done. @montana, e wash and @ s Utah are the biggest chances to lose imo. Need to go 2-1 at worst in non conference. SD is a massive game. Not only will SD be good next year but it's at their house with a revenge twist factored in. Big big game If the possibility exists that they could be playoff bound, the e wash game should be electrifying. Let's hope both teams are 7-0 conf play when they meet! Big sky championship game!
  8. USD to low. I have them pegged at 4th sdsu ndsu ill st usd Youngstown n Iowa w Ill misery ind st.
  9. A long snapper was definitely needed. Welcome Ross
  10. Getting Audette would awesome. Stood behind him at the spring game....big big put-together dude. Love his hudl tape.
  11. A late game start would of been much better for that one.
  12. This is what happens when opposing teams fans have nothing to offer in regards to football.....they insult you geographically. The beauty of forums
  13. Torrey will need to fill Deion's shoes as the pick 6 guru I'm guessing two deep will look like this: if tyus is good to go he will be the starter opposite of Torrey. Evan and blubuagh behind them.
  14. Right. Is it comfirmed that it's an Achilles tear?
  15. Wish Jeremy chinn had stayed committed. He was a fresh all American CB for S Ill last year. Still hoping that Deion (if it's him) plays this year
  16. Have heard great things about blubaugh. ....hieptas as well. Definitely one if not both will be playing. Seems like every year tho that UND is pulling the shirts off cbs. Deion, carter, monatugue, tyus, holm, Torrey. Be great to redshirt some of these guys to learn the speed of the game, hit the weights and learn the playbook.
  17. Injuries make my stomach turn upside down. It's both unfair and unfortunate to the individual. I'm hoping and praying it's not as serious as noted.
  18. Minor?
  19. Let's hope this a rumor or very minor.
  20. They will have the exact offensive system. OC is head coach and they had two 3 star wr recruits this year plus two very talented WRs waiting ther turn to shine. I see very small drop in wr production. Simply reload. I think they lose only one OL too. UND will pressure the !@#$ out of gubrud and make him beat them with his legs. UNDs backers are extremely fast and hopefully own the outside with aggressive play calling by Schmitty and house full of crazies.
  21. Being a life long UND football fan, it's great to have the off season anticipation and excitement around the program again. It is now up to the young men and their coaches to keep progressing. Thank you thank you thank you Bubba!!! Job well done. I was looking through the top predicted teams and their conference games. This year could be a real mess with the unbalanced schedules. Five teams could potentially go 7-1 in the big sky. Here is each teams predicted one loss: 1. Und : @ Montana 2. e wash: @ UND 3. n zona: @ Montana 4. cal poly: n zona 5. Montana: e wash. Not going to say it will happen but it is very plausible. Make it easy UND. 8-0!!
  22. This ^ great list I would like to add Finke. Not sure he will get much playing time this year with Norberg manning the spot but he is ultra athletic for a guy his size. He plays the way I like it...mean! Has great hands and hard to bring down when rolling. Gets to his man fast and with a "pop". Looking for big things from him in the future.
  23. I did not. And then there is 4.2 Evan.....dude is fast!!
  24. Longtime fan Members 955 posts Posted April 18 ยท They had 5 DL on the pac12 all conf teams. 3 were seniors. The best and biggest in my opinion will be back....he was a fresh all American , 1st team PAC 12 as a soph and possibly injured last year....Hon mention PAC 12 as a jun. He's a 6'3" 320lb senior. His partner is a 6'3" 290lb senior....HM PAC 12. Big big Samoans!!! They also bring back DE (ucla transfer) that was inj game 3. He was leading the team in sacks and TFLs before the injury. He will be a senior as well. They will be very difficult to run against. They lose their entire o line except one. Glad to get them in first game of season. They have only 4 upper class men here ....2 sen 2 jun. Our quickness could create problems for them. Their secondary loses 5 of top 6 guys...but the one coming back is a stud ...6'3" 220 jun. need to be able to pass on them They return a first team all American punter.....field position field position field position!! They are going up tempo this year and they are built for it.....the majority of the skilled guys are smallish....5-9ish 175 lb ish. Quickness. und brings back a ton of experienced men ....and they know how to win. cant wait!!! I posted this back in April in a different thread. My take is the same today: Utah will very difficult to run against, not only for UND, but for any team. Their DL does not get pushed around...they do the pushing. Keaton and the passing game need to be playing at a high level for UND to have any chance of a victory. Keeping Utah honest is a must! I would like the TEs to be used early and often and a ton of screen passes to say Santiago or Cam. Three and half yards each play, all day would make me smile. They need to burn the clock and keep their offense off the field. I have knocked Rudolph almost every game since his arrival....hope I don't after this game. I really want to see UNDs quickness at the LB positions to be the strength against these guys. They could exploit the massive inexperienced o line of the Utes. I like the backers in this game. Schmitty will get the most out of his players, so I'm not worried about focus, discipline and being game ready. The secondary will be tested, well UND has two pre season all Americans in the secondary plus a very talented true sophomore. If UND can get pressure around the edges, I like UNDs secondary against a completely revamped offense. UND needs to make their qb twitchy and jumpy from the gate. UND returns a ton of players that have started 3 or 4 years now. Senior class is seasoned and seems to be a lot of leadership within that group. It will take a massive doing to leave Utah with a victory but this is Unds most talented and experienced team to date.
  25. Fantastic! He looks real mobile on film and like AJS mentioned...he proved himself behind a pitiful o line and team. Quality depth!
