  1. Game day!! our group of 10-15 will roll in around noonish
  2. It's incredibly impressive. Big sky defense maybe? Imagine if Rudolph opened his playbook instead of using it as a fly swatter! UND wouldn't have to come from behind nearly every game for a victory. They would/could have the defenses on their heels early and often and then power it down the throats of the opponent in the second half. Also, I hate worrying about Santiagos health taking a beating like he does. Let him work the edge with pitches or screens, early in the game, to have the opposing "bigs" chase him around....possibly tiring them. Powering it up the middle with a 175 pounder plays right into the hands of the 275 -300 men waiting for him. They don't have to move. Have them run!!
  3. .....or lack of.
  4. I agree with a lot of this....but you mentioned that he needs to up his performance and leadership. His leadership is top notch. Performance could use a little tweaking but it's definitely more a OC not using his skills properly. Would never consider him all American status but he has the tools to set UND up on a deep run in the playoffs if given the chance. Their is talent on the offense ...wished it would be used to their potential.
  5. Predictability, predictibiliy, predictability !! The opposing Ds are setting 9 in the box , disguised or not, against UND on 1st and 2nd downs. They know what's coming! We all know what's coming!! Try and set up the rush game once by passing to start a game! Or maybe delays....pitches....screens....etc... and for the love of God....use the &$!&@%* TEs !!!! I love a run heavy offense but to watch Santiago plow his way into a waiting wall of giants on 1st and 2nd downs is frustrating. Would love to see Santiago go out wide . Doubt that will ever happen. UND pulled Izzys shirt to have him clap from the sidelines!? Frustrating. UND does have TEs! Look at last week what happens when you use them. The list goes on and on The opposing DCs job is made easy: 1st down - Santiago straight up the gut. 9 in the box 2nd down - Santiago off the tackles hip. 9 in the box 3rd down- obvious pass- the opposing defenae backs off a tad, knowing that UND passes on every 3rd down and more often then not brings a blitz package to disrupt Keaton. 4th down. Punt!! Repeat.
  6. 24-23 UND. Ive stated my concerns over Rudolph and the predictability. What's the chance that unds first play will be Santiago straight up the middle?
  7. 11,200 ....hoping for 12000+.
  8. Jmu is head and shoulders better then any other fcs team currently. Can they be beaten?? Yes! But it would require a perfect game.
  9. If I had any faith in Rudy, I would predict UND to win and win comfortably. As it is ......24-23 UND.
  10. SD. Mizzou doesn't play D so Missouri st offense looked much better. Missouri st will have their hands full this weekend. If Rudolph goes to page 2 of his playbook UND will win
  11. Drake is no good. SD is real good. They didn't lose much from last year and outside of a fbs loss, no one beat them by more then 10 points last year. It will be a tough game at their house. I have SD as the 4th maybe 3rd best team in the mvfc.
  12. Exactly. 2-1 entering the big sky is a must!!
  13. SD will be tough.....very tough.
  14. Jmu will take the fcs championship again. Wow!!! They have the"it" factor! Way way better then any other fcs program......currently
  15. Have to go with the real opponent. Playing the real opponent gives you the exposure( especially around nd, mn), great for recruiting and if you have a top 10 team(fcs) it's nice to see how you can compete. Also the fans get to experience a real stadium and real tailgating. Negatives would be , it's almost a guaranteed loss and the risk of injury to a "stud " player in a likely loss. Plain and simple ....if you want to be the best ....play the best.
  16. They are fcs. They have like 5-6 wins in the last four years....bad!!
  17. Mississippi st is fbs. They reside in the sec Unique question.
  18. Correct. He was there one year.
  19. No. I'm thinking of Troy Taylor. He was the co- OC at e wash...and qb coach as well. The main play caller however.
  20. Stony has always had a hell of a D. Offense is a mess.
  21. 72 points so far for mizzou. Looks promising that the Rudolph led O will hang 20 on misery st.
  22. Studsrud plays his best when UNDs offense has to play catch up...that's because they need to stray away from the obvious runs that the defenses know are coming and put 9 in the box. He gets in a comfortable "zone". Like UND football said ...50/50. There's a reason why his second half numbers are MUCH better. Set up the run with passing to begin a game once. On holms int...we all said to attack and go for 6!! Even the announcers mentioned it. Nope! Santiago. Love Santiago but the D knew exactly what was coming. Most our group that night were calling the plays before they happened. This team has weapons! Izzy is a weapon that was brought along to Utah to clap I guess. The TEs are weapons but they don't practice to throw to them.....hence why studsrud doesn't necessarily look their way.....they don't practice it. Use them!!!! It is so frustrating! The three headed rb crew should put up amazing numbers if utilized right. As should some TEs and WRs. Keaton is a senior and looked extremely confident and calm against Utah. He oozes leadership to go along with great huddle presence. This is his last year and should be primed for a great year.....utilize it!!
  23. Yeah fitts is really good. Played as true fresh with ucla. Top 75 player out of high school.
  24. Considering fresh Tobin was lined up against an all American, potential first round draft pick and brick sh$thouse , he performed really well. Kept Lowell in front of him most of the time. Lowell was winning the push game, which he does every game, but Tobin kept him away from the plays. Tobin was also outweighed by 50 pounds. Lowell had no sacks and 1 assisted tackle. That will be hands down Tobins toughest assignment of his career. Glad to have him for 4 years...he is going to be a stud. Bell I believe played sparingly
  25. .
