Just did some research on the recruits. Fantastic job by the coaches. Have to say I’m most excited about Hendrickson. Have always had a “thing “ for southpaw qbs . He has above average football IQ and athleticism while playing under control. He has “IT” I believe. Looks like a couple great WR prospects as well. Und needs to load up big time at that position. Could this group of recruits be the group that change und football ? Difference making !

Love watching teams where the OC can outsmart the DC and not just run the same 4 plays over and over and over again. This time of the year is really fun to watch

Huge news ! Lance and Kaden will be one of …if not the top ..edge rusher units in fcs next year. What a combination!

When watching the 8 remaining teams today and Friday night ….I tried my best as to what und starter could start over another player at the same position. Jerry wouldn’t start on any of the 8 remaining teams. Can’t see Sawyer starting for anyone other than maybe Davis? Doubt it tho. WRs nope! Not even close. TEs no clue as I’m not sure und has any . OL …possibly a couple? Of course the OC is just a complete mess. That’s a complete overhaul to compete for gold

WRs are a must! Und has been stacked against heavy in the box for far too many years.

Zero team play with these new ways. There is definitely an “I” in team with these type of players. Sickening

Depending on the recruits next year ….und isn’t close on the offensive side. Watching all the teams in the qtrs it’s beyond obvious und doesn’t have the talent to take the next step offensively. Again… that’s dependent on what the recruiting class brings in. Believe Schmidt can bring in some talent but it needs to be a total and complete overhaul offensively…including OC …for und to be considered a championship contender. Und witnessed what they are capable offensively the last 6 weeks of the year against competent teams.

My .02 Think it’s pretty simple. For many …it all comes down to being pampered. The attention they get when they enter their name into the portal is instant gratification. Comes across as narcissistic. Me me me me me . That’s today’s generation. I get that there is a host of different reasons why a player would like to transfer and it has been going on for years. But in today’s world ……with the mass exodus happening at every level of every sport …. it just seems to ignite the egos of a majority that need constant pampering and attention. I will add that I have no issue if a player wants to transfer once but when you have guys that have been with 3 or 4 programs….that indicates a me me me me me me situation. Doesn’t give two sha&@ about the team Also ….i think a player has every right to transfer if a coach leaves. No issue with that either.

Defense was outstanding!! They can hold their head high. UNd was running out of secondary players yet guys kept stepping up. Losing Rucker hurt tho. He is an absolute beast !

I brought that up in couple posts. My guess he was injured in the SD game? He took some shots. Again tho. If that was the case ….nothing changed. Sit him for a couple weeks or however long to healthy him up and go with Simon or jack. But nothing was done. In fact. We are were wondering if Jerry would be back for the Tarleton game. Obviously it came down to the last day that he cleared protocol. That would have been a perfect time to start Simon or jack …even if it’s for the 1st qtr to see if that change would have made anything better . But we got the same ol Jerry and same ol offense. That’s my biggest gripe here it that there was no attempt at all at trying to fix anything. Just ride it out.

Do you really think it was addressed?? If it was talked about …can you tell me what they did to counter what wasn’t working….which was everything I noticed they quit using their TEs. Noticed they quit spreading the ball around. Noticed the opponents DC caught on to the couple plays Isaac was happy calling. Noticed Deng wasn’t involved. Noticed Z or Langama weren’t given chances. Noticed Jerry couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. Noticed they couldn’t burn the game clock when they had a lead. The football IQ on that side of the ball is not up to par. There are plenty more but those were the most glaring. Those all =fail. Every game they stuck with fail over and over again. No change. Nothing. So if they discussed it ….they had a funny way of addressing it and changing to counter the incompetence.

Curiosity got the best of me. Had to look up TE usage this year first 8 games TEs had 27 catches including 5 tds last 6 games they had four total catches. Zero tds. Was the OC purposely trying to tank the season ? inexcusable!

Tarleton is good but don’t be a tool . Saying Tarleton is “ a lot better” is absolute BS. Tarleton is nothing special. Dime a dozen actually . Und would have beat up Tarleton early on when und was healthy. No question. Coming here and being a complete arrogant asshole doesnt do any good. Was going to wish Tarleton good luck but

I will say it for the 30th time. Unds OL is nothing special. I know everyone here thinks they are the cream of the crop but they’re not. That was a lot of the issue this year. They never really got any push. Z is awesome but quite sure even Z couldn’t move the chains today. I do agree tho. He was given no chances . Just like the TEs that we supposedly have. The offense is just an absolute mess in every way

In a very frustrating way it was funny that everyone here on siouxsports could call or did call nearly every play und ran. Even us boneheads had options or some different lineup personal or plays that maybe could change the stagnancy and nothingness. Isaac had no intention on changing. He was pounding a square into a triangle hole continuously. Not sure any of our ideas were going to work but at least try something different.

Agreed on all fronts. I had Jerry picked as the “most important player to his team “ earlier on. Well. Jerry ended up being one of unds biggest nemesis. Not sure he would have started for 3/4 of the fcs teams in the second half of the season. Yet OC wasn’t having it. He stuck with him and rode him to the end . Just an incredible display of arrogance and/or stupidity from Isaac?
