Bubba is still living in the 25-30 year ago mindset. Nothing has changed for him. I know my remark doesn’t qualify as “ serious commentary “like you demand but I had to get that off my chest.

I have mentioned the same thing to our group. 90% of the players regress under bubba. Just look at Santiago. He goes from fresh all American to this coaching staff nearly killing him his senior year. They copied and pasted every play with him powering up the A gap. Hard to watch.

Not sure if I’m going to renew mine yet? If bubba was to be gone I would continue but if he is back I’m not sure When they decided to take away the catwalk our group of 20 shrank in half the following year. This year we had 4 of us left with us 4 undecided for next year.

Are you talking about the season as a whole or cherry picked game/s ? Because if it’s a game or games you will say Ndsu win. Right ? Any other games that seem like bragging rights for enjoyment? One game doesn’t define a season. I would describe the season the same as the last 7 seasons or so ….frustrating coach fail

Talked with a couple former players. They were extremely upset with bubba and Danny. They didn’t hold back. I’m sure there are numerous players on this years team that feel the same way with coaching. Schmitty would be the only und connection that I would personally be ok with for next man up. Not perfect but he doesn’t fit the bubba mold. He is extremely to the point and an intense motivator. Now having a resume of experience in the fbs winning column he brings that formula. He is smart and knows football. I think he could excel with the right personal. Just my .02. But since und doesn’t have the monetary ability to hire anything more than a high school gym teacher I’m not sure in the options for next man up.

Bubba is one of the worst in game adjusters in the game. He lacks killer instinct, loses all knowledge and doesn’t exert any confidence during game time. Players follow their leaders way. Is it coincidence or just luck that unds best win and most inspired game came this year when Lennon talked to the players before the game ? Bubba can’t energize. Lennon is not perfect but he gets his players ready. This years defense was an absolute embarrassment! Tommy is a below average fcs qb. Bubba and Danny see otherwise. Need a change but that just never happened The coaching flaws were at full speed yesterday. Why did Danny think that he needed to pass the ball in the second half !?!? Run the damn ball and burn the clock. Keep their offense off the field! The lack of overall athleticism is shown against playoff teams. There is a reason why so many of unds recruits aren’t being recruited by other fcs teams. But there is some talent on the team and guys that love to play. Ndsu was proof of that when they have the right motivation. They are just being sucked into mediocrity that bubba instills. Feel bad for them. Some have said und can’t recruit here because it’s too cold or too far north l? Ummm Ndsu and sdsu Also. Taking away the catwalk was the worst call alerus center has done. They moved the hard core fans away. Just another frustrating season we are used to seeing under bubba. If und can’t make the change expect another 6 win season next year. Fan attendance/interest will most likely fall as well.

Losing to UNI now puts und into bidding for potential playoff home/road game. Not good. To be honest …und hosting a playoff game under bubba fails even more= Richmond. Bubba …yuck

This has been a perennially thing under bubba. Great week followed by fail . Bubba has failed playoffs and has failed fans. “ Last week “ will mean zero when playoffs are announced as und will not be seeded. Not being seeded means a $ bid is required. Und fails at that as well. Und will be thrown to the road and every fan knows by now und doesn’t win on the road in big games. So yes …last week means zero.

“Sioux boys” has a weird infatuation with mediocrity

UNI has given up 30 ,34, 17, 41, 20 and 41. A 0-7 Indiana st team scored 20. Beating Ndsu means absolutely zero. 10 years of high followed immediately by low. 10 years ! Tommy is not a D1 qb. For anyone that hates to hear that just look at the stats on his big games. He is horrible. He is a great game manager when they play mediocre teams. Playing high level teams he has not produced. But in the end Tommy has not been the qb for 10 years under bubba. Beating Ndsu bubba got a lifetime contract with that one win. A .500 coach is what und has and will have for numerous seasons.

I would think most would agree at this point….Bubba is not built to win a “big” game. Not happening under his belt. Pains me to say but Ndsu will no trouble against und in the alerus. Und could maybe muster up some ingredient to make it a game for a bit but Ndsu will undoubtedly and unfortunately win. Bubba has zero confidence/ leadership built into him. Just look at him on the sideline during games . Looks like he is going to pass out. If he can’t show confidence doubt his players feel any different. One playoff win in ten years in the fcs !?!? I have been off this site for 3 years and the same old $&&? is happening. Bubba is a deer in the headlights. Ten years wasted The “negative” posters have been spot on …the “positive “ posters have either an incredible dismiss of realty or liking to what they see. This entire program needs a facelift. It literally is the same old song and dance every year.

Three teams will keep und out of playoffs . Idaho st , Unc and poly. S Utah could possibly be team 4. A team that is in playoff consideration should NEVER go toe to toe with three 2- 8 (6-25 D1) ball clubs. In those three games und was outscored 95-119. Lost by 35 won by 4 won by 7. Opponents won the first down battle. Und was out gained yardage wise 434- 492 average/ game. The opposing three teams were penalized more.... 205 yards to unds 173. Und goes 2-1 vs those 3 while losing nearly every significant statistic. Und has won 6 games by the point difference of 40, 4, 2, 4, 4 and 7 to a combined team record of 27-36. Und is a handful of plays away from being a 2-8 team Und sits with two solid games....Montana st (W) and Weber (L). 3 bad performances vs 2 nice performances What will the committee see?
