Every team is beatable regardless where the game is played. Ndsu is nothing special this year which makes Saturdays game even more frustrating. If und was competitive and still lost that’s one thing. They’re not just losing these games they’re getting embarrassed.

Classic bubba! Road stats after 11 years: -19-38 lifetime road record (.333%) -1-18 (.05%) vs teams that would make the playoffs. The one win was in 2015 against Port St - 3 road victories against teams with a winning record. -18-20 (.474%) vs non playoff teams -non playoff teams combined record 61-144 (.298%)winning percentage 10 of 18 teams records that und beat 0-11 1-5 1-10 2-8 2-9 2-9 2-9 2-9 2-9 2-10 bubba can claim three road victories in 11 years that would be considered “ok” wins? But he did just say last week he will look into how they’re preparing !? lol Not sure why since he’s constantly getting extensions.

Let’s be honest. It doesn’t matter what und has for facilities or strength coach or player personal….etc. Bubba is going to bubba. 11 years of proof. Can’t win meaningful games on the road and can’t win playoff games. Yay!!??? Let’s go beat the Idaho states and Murray states of the world…end up with 6-7 wins and call it a moral victory season. With how weak the fcs is…being in the top 20 means squat. Only 4 teams have a yearly chance of the championship. As I mentioned after the Ndsu game …Ndsu is not much this year ….nothing special but the fcs is a joke so they are an automatic semi team. Fcs would be wise to have a top 10 ranking system only and a 16 team playoff field. The rest is a complete waste of time. With bubba…Und is as average at it gets. There should be no way !!!!!! ….that und isnt competing for a title every year. Ndsu sdsu Montana st and Montana get it. Und promotes and extends average. Winning a playoff game should be a requirement for an extension imo. But Und just extends for reasons unkown

Great win this is the one game a year that bubba pulls out a win to have und fans think “Und is back”. Can he finally make it more than one game and make a full season of it ? what a difference of halves.

Bubba gives the team and fans : zero optimism zero excitement zero enthusiasm zero balls zero coaching skills zero momentum zero zero zero the atmosphere was electric to begin Bubba the momentum killer made sure to squash it on a positive side ….at least Montanas all American difference maker isn’t playing tonight *cough cough*

Big game big atmosphere…smack in the mouth ! Don’t let up. Punish them up the middle . All day ! Let the depth of the RBs (plus Romfro) wear them out ! Defensively key in on #5 if playing. Difference maker. Gillman is a stud rb too. Wished he picked und but … really hoping to see some sacks. They are a rarity later. Getting pressure helps immensely on the CBs plus simply rattling the qb and jacking up the crowd. If #5 is playing …..kick it out bounds every punt and every kickoff. The guy will make you pay if he catches it. Don’t give him a single opportunity. Let’s go!

2023- #6 Ndsu. 49-24 2022 - #7 Missouri st 48-31 2021 - didn’t have that one big signature win this year but bubba went back into bubba mode in the 4th qtr vs #5 Ndsu and loses 10-16. Und should have never lost that game 2020- #3 sdsu. 28-17 2019- #9 Montana st. 16-12 2018- #22 Montana. 41-14 2017- zero 2016- #17 Weber st 27-19 2015- FBS Wyoming. Even though Wyoming ended up being horrible it was unds first FBS win 2014- zero 2013- zero These were all great wins that should have catapulted und. Momentum swingers. Think we all know by now that they didn’t. This weekend I feel could be one of those games

Montana has some fantastic athletes. If Bergen is playing…he should/will have a big day. With und having constant special teams fails ….Mr Bergen will eat und up in that facet alone. He will undoubtedly be the difference maker if he plays. Just an incredible athlete with vision, speed and misdirection. Their D looks very fast! If und isn’t able to run on them efficiently it could be a long night. Not seeing the passing game doing much at all ? Mr. In-game-brain- freeze bubba seems to always win one game a year that puts the “maybe und has turned the corner” mindset back into the fans. Could this be that game? Not sure what the alerus magic is but there’s always one game….even if und is out classed athletically, yardage difference is a fail …etc….they win. C’mon bubba ….have an out of body experience Saturday ! Earn that one game extension $!!! Hope it can happen because the joy seeing a well or decent coached team ends there . Back to reality the following week with eye gauging calls. Should be a fun atmosphere being the first home game, night game and playing a perennial strong team that has an fcs name. Finally . If you can go …go! Have fun and be annoyingly loud ! Bubba can’t excite the team but the fans can. They need get amped from somewhere. The 12th man!

There were some positives out of yesterday’s game …no doubt .. but the most obvious, glaring negative is without a doubt …bubba. He holds the team back time and time again. After a decade of witnessing his sideline demeanor and the results I have come to the conclusion that he is so wrapped with in game fear he doesn't have the capability of making rational decisions. Because it’s every game …namely big games…and the results are perennially the same. Feel bad for the players. It looks like the team wanted to win but bubba constantly put the brakes on. Take chances !!! Show confidence !!! Show some balls !! Yesterday your team was a 28 point dog ! Not like anyone expected you to win. You show your best when you brought out the punter at the 38 yard line. What was the thinking there ? If we punt we might in iowa st 5-10 yards from our scrimmage line? Well the punter decides to send it to the top row. Great call ? Then you had the team walk to the locker room with a chance for a Hail Mary before the half with a TO in the pocket and with a chance for an td or pass interference which maybe could of resulted in a fg opportunity. Nope ! Tail between the knees. Complete wimp out. 4th qtr . Sending the kicker out for some FGs instead of TDs. Lol. It’s Iowa st (p5) at home with the most experienced returning D1 team in the nation. Fgs ?? Fgs?? Hell…if you didn’t succeed at any of them it at least shows your interested in winning . But nope ! You continually show the people why you should never be a HC. How about showing confidence in your players! How about showing some balls so the players feel like they matter . Can almost guarantee that every veteran player yesterday knew exactly what bubba was going to call before he called it. As deflating it is for us fans I couldn’t imagine being a player. year after year year after year year after year ……same BS

Ouch! So UNDs 2024 qb roster depth is not fcs top notch? Average at best maybe ? Very unfortunate. Need a great qb to take it to take next step. Along with a competent HC.

At what point does bubbas never attempting to reach of his box or ultra conservative ways affect the team? What kinda message is sent to his players when you punt on the 38 ? Not attempting a Td but a fg inside your 5 ?? This against a top tier FBS team at home . Over the years the list is so $@&%% long playing the ^%#£! day by day game that I have given up ! How do the players react to this BS? I was a college player back in the day and we had a DC that was absolutely crazy . Great DC but as wild and as unpredictable as they com in play calling. But he brought excitement and energy !! We loved playing for him. Didn’t always work but he/we kept trying. Bubba !?!? Bubbas way is that of a 98 grandma.

Watched some of this game. Deion is an absolute moron in-game coach. Gives bubba a run for his money. Colorado is bad tho. Take away three players and they don’t win a game. Defense is horrible and the OL should just quit football. Sanders was sacked the most last year and will most definitely be again this year.

A moral victory is the best we can hope for. That’s what we as fans are left with nowadays. Deflating and frustrating . If UND can stay within 21 that’s a moral victory. Bubba has proven over and over and over and over again he can’t win these games. Now it will be Iowa st …..toughest test yet. Bubba can hang his hat on his one fbs win over a two win Wyoming team. Iowa st 7-42 I have attended a couple of practices this year. Will only note one thing. Bo is an absolute stud!!! Why he didn’t transfer to bigger school is beyond me but he is special. Speed at Wr is nice but crisp route running is second to none. Jerry rice and cooper kupp are not “fast” but their route running is what separates them. Bo has that! I have read on this site that und has too many white guys at WR. Not sure what race has to do with because Bo is as good as it gets. I would take him over any other WR in the fcs. The guy is a true football player and WR. Just unsure with a new qb , OL and OC how his stats will show how good he really is.

When adding up the HC, OC and DC ….UNDs total combined salaries for those three ranks 9th out of 11 programs in MVFC. Yet ….UND is only behind Ndsu in the MVFC with endowment dollars. Clearly UND does very well in donations. I keep hearing on this site for the naggers to put forth more money to help. Und seems to have to no problem with that so I don’t think that blanket argument is valid. But since I am not familiar with endowment $ can someone explain to me how exactly does the university determine where to allocate the donations ? Does allocating to the FB program rank towards the bottom every year ? Or at all ? Basing argument off hard numbers which include coaching salaries to endowment intake and compared those to the other 10 peer programs in the MVFC….und is sadly far behind. Again …I would like more insight of how endowment distribution works before going to deep into this. Where I’m going with this is ….can UND pay up for the “right” coaches for the next try ? Quite honestly und is paying Bubba about $200000 more than he deserves so I wont argue that angle . Just wondering for future hires if it’s a possibility? If it isn’t a possibility…..UND football is stuck in the mud. To hire a good candidate to move and live in GF will require more dollars than what the peers are paying. As what we have seen for years now …the high majority or percentage of hires have Und connections. Hasn’t worked. Need new blood. In order to get new blood …the salaries have to be raised significantly to peek interest.

15th in FCS could be looked at as 1st or 2nd in D2. While 15 sounds good I think most that follow the FCS ….that won’t cut it. So really I don’t care if und has a Massey rating of 3. Massey ratings do not automatically give a team a championship. Talent …competent coaching staff …etc will get a team to the championship. We have bubba. Bubba can’t do it for so many reasons. We all know it. Assistants know it. It is such a rinse and repeat program. My expectations have been lowered to the point that I now I have hope we can win a road game Should that really be an expectation? This is why it hurts. Bubba has completely drained me from excitement for this program. I mentioned this earlier but all the “kings “ of FCS are up in our neighborhood…..ndsu sdsu Montana Montana st. They are all doing it. Hell even USD is making waves. Und just doing und things. Bubba can’t sell this program and talent goes elsewhere. Recruiting has been mouse quiet for ages . Someone like Kalen could sell and can produce. Und has great facilities. Great campus. Great school. Horrible leadership and direction. If und installed a young and talented staff… they could sell UNd over Ndsu or sdsu. If the recruits are willing to go there they could go here. It’s all in proximity just stuck with a useless coach. And of course money. Money money money. It’s hard for me to believe that a flagship like und can’t pay a football staff in equal to any surrounding college. With Joe leaving …that just broke the camels back for me. The guy is good very good. the only staffer ,imo, that was worth a damn. I was neither here of there with freund, jake or any others. Joe is very capable .. now he’s gone. But good for him and the others escaping this mediocre pit. I am just beyond frustrated
