That was because the Rangers signed him so he was no longer eligible. It sucked mainly because that year was the injury-plagued season. Gaarder scored in multiple frozen four games and had the double OT goal against Ferris though, he's a Sioux legend in my book. Will take that any day over a one and done.

Had this kid pegged as Michigan or BC. Did a double take to see if it was the same kid I was thinking of when word got out. Major recruiting coup. Hoping Schloss can get the list of other schools that offered when he interviews him. Rizzo was on our radar for a while (even before playing at Penticton), and it felt like only a matter of time until he committed. This was out of left field (for fans anyways). Wonder if Drake is upping our appeal in Toronto.

Eau Claire and Stevens Point are the only ones that would make sense. Maybe River Falls.
 -
Now the question is, does their current arena merit a visit before they stop using it? Didn't look like anything special during broadcasts.

The potential paradigm shift any rational fan wanted to see. Let's hope it's the new rule and not an exception.

ACHA should start allowing CHL alum to play, it'll raise the competition level in their league and give CHL players more options.

Brock Nelson and Stetcher both elect salary arbitration.

Kristo signs in the SHL after an underwhelming season in the K.
 -
Maybe he will pull a Wheeler/Hayes to avoid their franchise.

It's a somewhat old tweet but the U of O student manager is trying to elevate their program.
 -
Not sure if it was already shared, but Cole Sillinger signed with Medicine Hat a little while ago. At least it means Bemidji won't get him...

That much more impressive on the coaching resume. Having dad on the bench likely makes it a career aspiration for both of the sons.
 -
Poolman getting the C gives him a big reason to return for his senior year.
 -
Is he considered a blue chipper?!?!?!?
 -
It's a crapshoot getting top talent as recruiting gets younger. Costello was a potential blue chip when he committed and he might not get drafted. Hain was as well. Top picks in the USHL means the talent is there. Mattson comes to mind too, he didn't even make it here. Boeser-gift from the Badgers Schmaltz- legacy Jost-a good pull Oshie and Toews wanted to play close to home, so did Lee

Screw Michigan. They won't schedule a home and home with us, so they don't deserve our destination game. Unless of course that is part of the package....

He can still play another year of Juniors based on his birthdate. Likely got pushed back another year. -
To be fair Motzko doesn't have to move his family, and he can afford a pied-a-terre in the cities with his salary bump.

https://bit.ly/2rh6PRo JBD draft profile. Mentions someone named 'Tychondick' as well.

While it was gross it isn't out of line with what kids do to one another in middle school. Hopefully his parents weren't afraid to discipline him though.

Ladue with a goal and a punishing hit worth getting called for roughing last night

My TC suburban high school sent dozens if not almost 100 to Duluth for college. Maybe a dozen to UND, and mainly those who couldn't get in elsewhere. Playing in front of friends can be a draw. They can recruit to that before the players realize there's more to life than their teenage social status.

This poster's quotes are best read in Cletus' voice:
 -
Three Big 10 teams and the Gophers' less desirable sister playing in St. Paul. Whoever wins, U of MN loses. Duluth winning would make the .0001 that much more difficult for them to swallow, much like 0.6 would be had Union not run the train on 'em.
