  1. Last week people said Smaby was a disappointment and should be sat, and how Blais, unlike Hakstol, wouldn't allow that to happen, and he'd be riding the pine... What do you know. He's riding the pine tonite.
  2. I have been thinking the same for awhile. We are getting good HS players to committ, before they can even prove themselves. People say that's how things are changing now, kids are committing earlier, and leaving ealier from school, meaning they can make more of an impact on the WCHA. I'd rather us get the 20 year old Canadians more than anything.
  3. http://bluepyramid.org/ia/squiz.htm Only six question, but the question differentiate depending upon the answers, it's fun to see where ND is. Upon completion, I started from the beginning and tried to become MN and got it right the first time.
  4. How many "official" releases do you need? Well my friend, heres another, already linked on the other Toews thread, and it seems to be pretty offical, http://www.grandforks.com/mld/grandforks/sports/10631832.htm
  5. I say second assists should never be given ever to any team at any level or at least call them "assisting the assistant."
  6. Why do you care if the community can support it? It isn't your money being used. Only the strong survive. Each company does what it thinks is best for them. Owners of the mall saw that a theatre would bring people to an empty space and afterwards those customers will enter the mall and spend money. The Canad Inn saw that a theatre would be a perfect fit in their "destination centre." My guess Carmike will probably close down the Columbia 4 (it is close to the new theatre, while not being connected and no stadium style seating with highbacks) after a short stint at a discount joint, and then will be bought, remodeled, and reopened as something new.
  7. Sorry for the off topic, but with these systems (FTA) you can pick up all these channels, http://www.bealenet.com/~jimsat/free_chanel_listing.htm? ESPN2, TechTV, Playboy TV , why would anyone pay for cable.

  9. I'm not sure but I see them having Minnesota at #4 and CC at #1 in that poll.
  10. Smaby has been a big disappointment.
  11. Dude get a grip. This is common in all of sports for a coach after a hard fought loss. The coach doesn't want to say something in the heat of the moment they may regret. He does a cable tv and radio show a week and the fans and media will have time to interview him all they want then.
  12. Hahaha JParise finally gets burnt coming out of the goal like he always does.
  13. Canady seems like a really good guy.
  14. With the new Ralph, the Sioux are going to get high caliber recruites that they may have never been able to get before. We see more and more blue chipper high school players committing to the Sioux. Is this a good thing, are they to young, does that mean they will produce at the NCAA level? These young players committing to UND and then moving on to the NHL in a couple of year other than staying four year and trying to win an NCAA championship doesn't seem to help the team chemistry to much. Also with the new building and recent championships the Sioux have a huge target on their backs every year. Just like the Gophers, the Sioux make other teams play some of their best. Don't get me wrong, I love the new Ralph, the talented palyers the Sioux are able to get....Stafford, Parise, Toews , etc etc, but what made the Sioux win more NCAA Championships than any other team since 1980?
  15. All I can say is WOW. I guess this is how the Major Juniors operates. Sad, but True. I hope Jon shoves it down their throats.
  16. I have always thought that would be the best place for a parking ramp, the current parking lot behind Tabula's. It seems to be in the middle of campus, and it is close to the REA. Why would they build a ramp on the edge of campus and make them cross a busy street (Columbia).
  17. Tear it down and leave it undeveloped for future EERC expansion. Build a "bubble" over Memorial Union and you have a indoor football practice facility and and indoor track (with remodeled surface to include banked corners to satisfy bisonfan0123) that could host meets.
  18. To bad Tommy Lee and Pamela ain't together still. Those backstage passes would be hard to come by.
  19. Thank you mister obvious. I was pointing out the fact that many a sport has a minor league, while football does not, and that may be part of the reason you pointed out that college football in particular has become "the NFL minor leagues."
  20. Hockey has a minor league, while football does not.
