Don't be so sure.
There is a little thing called The Ralph Engelstad Arena, others call it the finest rink in college hockey. Pile that upon the already storied tradition of the Fighting Sioux and who knows what will happened.
SiouxMD was correct. It is that blind to NDSU fans about the future of it was going to bring? Tony is the most erratic moderator I have ever seen. Why delete all those posts? Didn't like what was written? Why the new rules? To much UND talk in their own section? I thought that was the point; keep it off the main boards. Slippery slope indeed.
Finally you know what it is like to go to a regional game for us Sioux fans at Mariucci and the Final Five.
Welcome to a Sioux (and others teams) fans world.
Now you know why everyone hates the gophers.
Sioux fans are generally use to it year after year being from a "small" town and school. MN fans on the other hand rarely experience that. When MN fans travel to Mankato/St. Cloud/Duluth...there is so many gopher fans there compared to the home team that you don't usually notice the hostility that much. Sioux fans are the greatest in the world. They will support their team threw thick and thin and not take any bull from anyone. They support their team greater than no other. There is no arrogance in the statement that Grand Forks is (College) Hockey Town USA.
The other shoe thanks you for your experience in that town.
But when you hook your laptop (or any computer) up to a standard TV it looks like crap (your monitor has a better resolution). So if you were to get an HDTV the computer screen would look ten times better to watch the webcast.
Side note: every sioux fan should sign up (at http://www.cstv.com/cstv/petition.html) to send a message to cable operators about CSTV. The petition even mentions "Fighting Sioux."
Having a lot of "favorite school" as UND can't hurt get future games on CSTV.
Edit: i guess you have to go here http://www.cstv.com/cstv/ and then click petition in the right hand side.
A more interesting stat would be the percentage of goals teams score on their respective power plays vs non power play goals.
This is not a Sioux vs Gopher thing. There are 10 teams in this league and it does every one of them injustice having incompetent refs. It is much better to have a non call than a wrong call.
A team that is below .500 (in an average Division 2 conference) is going to win a March Madness game?
Long Long Long Long Way to go. Winning your current conference should be first (NCC). Wait that hasn't happened for over a decade.
