Does posting in this thread stop people from posting in other threads? Do you tell other people at the Thanksgiving Dinner table what they should be talking about?
-
They say it's our "Super Bowl", but than another fan will turn around and say if they lose to UND it will "wipe out their accomplishments of the last decade." Point: Anyone can say anything. Doesn't make it true or important or right.
-
And UND is helping ensue NDSU comes to the Alerus sooner than they would have by agreein to this. Because no one knows the future the games could have been off the table for another ten years....but now it's gonna start again....and pretty neive to believe NDSU will neve set foot in the Alerus ever again in your lifetime....UND looks like the good guy right to the people of the state by agreeing to this and it will put a tremendous amount of pressure on the new NDSU AD moving forward to go to GF.
-
If, just if, UND wins will it be good for recruiting, selling tickets, or anything else? Again it's not all Faisons fault. He was being a good AD and listening to his football coach and boosters.
-
My favorite quote from Bisonville the last day: "If UND somehow manages to beat us, that's going to wipe out the accomplishments of our last decade!" #thepowerofUND
-
And the Bison fans are ready coming out of the woodwork. UND is the most talked about topic on Bisonville surpassing there FBS wins and championships.
-
Since when did NDSU start press conferences to announce future home games? #thepowerofUND

For everyone that's blaming Faison, Bubba said go ahead sign it. Are we already changing our tune "in Bubba we trust"?

There is a bridge/bypass up north so that doesn't make any sense to build a new one. And by not having one on the South end you're taking all the trucks from the south and forcing them all the way through town increasing congestion. Quite the opposite of blocking off growth, a bridge would help growth.

Wasn't the last game played at UND anyways? So naturally UND has to return first....and after that it "starts over" in the FCS era with the start in Fargo and a nice paycheck?
-
Was gene Taylor forced out for not wanting to schedule UND?
-
If it was the only way to get the rivalry going again so be it.

Here's an interesting read from the GF MPO from 2000. http://www.theforksmpo.org/PDFs/metroforks.pdf They thought GF would have 60,000 by now. I think it's more than just oil (Bismarck was already on its way to passing), but unfortunately it looks like GF could go from (formerly) being 2nd largest in ND to possibly 5th.

A city can only grow so much in any certain time. Both williston and fargo are experiencing shortage of workers. Just this month four people were hurt in williston when a building collapsed...
-
Williston is having tremendous growth which is great for the state, but like I said for everything you see being built in Williston, just know more is being built in the Fargo Moorhead area. And when more is being built in the FM area (and the census shows more people moved to FM than Williston the last few years) than Williston it will be hard to surpass. Last year Williston granted $350 million in new construction, while The FM area had over $525 million in new construction granted. And this year Williston is on pace to do even less than last year. While Fargo this year has already surpassed last years, which was a record.
-
Not even the "Craziest Fargo Haters" think Williston will surpass the the Fargo Metro. While that convention center is nice, Fargo is also building a massive new 11 story $500 million hospital. The largest private industry construction project in the history of the Dakotas. For every nice new building Williston gets. Fargo probably is getting something just as equivalent. Williston is finally getting a Menards. Moorhead got a new one a few years ago.

I got a box in the bottom right hand side of my phone that I can't get to go away. Reads: "with 1 checked posts" Next to a "drop box" and a "go" button. I click the drop box nothing happens as it appears empty...I've clicked go and nothing happens. Tried logging out and back in but box is still there.
-
Another long overdue project. Could you imaging anytime someone in fargo wanted to go to Moorhead they'd have to drive downtown.
-
Contract will state Bison get 80% of all ticket sales on any neutral site.

I'm on an iphone using "full version" I just signed out and back in. The screen came up again but it seems related to mobile versions as it has "phone look functions that pop up". I screen shotted it. Reads: "The saved password for "cratter" on "siouxsports.com" is different. Do you want to update it? With the buttons "update password" or "not now." I click not now and it logs in fine...

Recently is better than never I suppose. And since Grand Forks doesn't have the rapid growth Fargo does you'd think it be easier to keep up. Fargo has a lot more areas of growth while grand forks basically had a pretty small area to develop. South of 32nd from the interstate to Washington.
-
Agree. That's why it doesn't ever make any sense to drive in the right lane.
-
I think that's where the city needs to get ahead of things. If you dont turn these streets into major corridors and keep them two lanes, they eventually become residential neighborhoods with tons of traffic. Such as 17th ave south, Belmont road, 24th avenue south (subway/caribou intersection to Columbia road), and your currently seeing it on ruemmele road behind target connecting 42nd to Columbia road, tons of traffic going by that park because the city hasn't build connecting roads around it yet.
-
Actually I don't fully agree with that. Fargo has streets with two turning lanes where there is growth but one is blocked off because it isn't needed yet just waiting ready to go. Driving through south fargo they also have roundabouts and roads constructed in the "middle of no where" that are barely used with the connecting lanes already built just waiting to be developed. It almost seems they build the roads sometimes then wait for it to get developed because you know sooner or later it will fill in.
-
Are you suggesting gf reject some of these permits? The laybout of roads in gf is pretty ridiculous. Only 2.5 "4lane" north south roads... And 3 4lane east west with only one south of half the city where all the new construction is taking place. Gf doesn't seem to ever be ahead on these things..why isn't Columbia road south of 32nd 4 lanes yet to kings walk (along with 42 all the way to furniture row and beyond)? That new stop sign by the dentist office in the mornings has a mile long wait. The road by south middle school is becoming a major corridor and needs to be 4 lanes and if not that one the one just to the north of it that runs by Marcos pizza to that new dentist office. The long way to really solve these problems is building West Grand Forks over the interstate on 32nd, but I don't see that happening. Too much of a mental block I guess. Took the city how many years to finally connect the industrial park road.
