Sure is boring around here with all this winning going on. I wonder which Eastern team will win the Natty this year making it 8 out of the last 9 years. UND needs to schedule more games with those guys. It's like ND vs MN High School Hockey.
Probably not quite the NHL accolades in the future, but the DOT line is comparable to this line with two first round NHL picks with the other being undrafted Hobey Candidate.
"Did you spend a bunch of time or money removing those popular Sioux items in your establishment since they adapted a new nickname a couple weeks ago?" "No." "Absolutely Shocking. I can't wait til people hear about this one!"
When I read that article a few days ago, I thought to myself "Oh must be a slow news day." Then I realized its a slow news day around here like 90+% of the time.
I pointed out a few years ago http://forum.siouxsports.com/topic/15263-thought-hiring-idalski-was-a-bad-idea/ of which Feb, 2011 Not sure what the conference standings vs preseason polls have been since?
Here's SDSU's finished walls: The more I compare the two facilities the more I'm impressed with UND's. Field goal posts (Maybe SDSU's are portable?) Multitone track. UND's sweet multitone turf. The walls. The light ring that goes around it. Can't tell by the pictures but looks like the actual turf of UND's is more grass like. (maybe its the same?) UND's turf stretches the entire length of the track and is a "full" 100 yards.
Took me a while but I see it. That would be sweet. If Brien did the new logo, that's something he'd probably do. Just like he did with his name in the Sioux logo.
Shouldn't the most important part of the equation be a great head coaching resume not a connection to UND? I see one with a great historical resume (his teams have gotten better every year). And he oddly doesn't belong amongst the other three for some reason.
I like how SIU did that. Not a bad idea to implement at UND. Also commonplace is you're buyout (contract) is "this" minus whatever you start to make at your new job that year if you get one.
