The Q and Clouds blow UND's SOS out of the water.

Isn't Minnesota or Iowa saying the same thing about playing any "lower level team" (like South Dakota - To Big Ten schools a low major might as well be d2, but yes I understand they are in the same "Division I level")...."Go play Duke or Kansas"? What's it say when people are "dreading" VCSU?
-
Dan Hammer said this midco job was his dream job. So there might be something to not being a midco partner. When UND started on Midco it was the only Dakota school with a contract IIRC.
-
True. And looking at the second half of the schedule. It's pretty soft too. Huntsville. Colorado College Western Michigan (x4) The toughest games will be the four against Omaha.

I always thought these ranking made more sense than Pairwise: http://www.masseyratings.com/team.php?t=11590&s=284083 Duluth two spots ahead of Minnesota.
-
UND is at 5th in the Pairwise with a 16-2-2 record (third best win percentage in the country) yet is behind SCSU (14-4-0) and Nebraska Omaha (12-3-1). That's how far you drop losing to Wisconsin.

He did win it four times. Now if you're talking about the Frozen Faceoff, I'm still waiting to watch UND win one game at the Target Center. I do like how Berry keeps emphasizing winning two games in a row, which is critical in the NCAA tournament. -

Yet to be determined. I don't think its too far stretch to say Zane was a better goalie than Cam right now, although Cam has amazing numbers. A lot of it has to do with defense. Where coaching comes to play. Maybe Shaw's the best coach on the team. .....This defense made a walkon goalie look like Aaron Dell. Hoping Berry's teams don't peak too early. Hakstol always had them playing the best when it mattered most. Also hoping Berry doesn't peak early in his career like Hakstol. -

University of North Dakota Hockey 2015-16 season

First Half of the Season: 7 Home Games. 13 Away. Second Half of the Season: 10 Home Games. 6 Away. I think it's going to a battle for first place in the NCHC and could very well come down to the last weekend of the year. -
UND FIGHTING HAWKS @ UMD Bulldogs - SATURDAY Gameday
Cratter replied to AZSIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
It was so blantant and right in front of the ref. Can't believe it wasn't called. Well I guess I can because UND was on a 5 minute power play. But still. -

Must be the actual attendance? But there was only a couple hundred seats left according to Ticketmaster before the game. Unless NDSU received and allotment and returned some last minute.

The lack of equal strength scoring during the game is a little concerning. -
He probably got his number from the GF Herald: Which appears to be a typing error. I always assumed these game were easy sellouts, especially with the size of the Betty. Guess not.
-
When you play in the Big Ten you don't have much of a chance to increase you're Pairwise rankings because most of the teams are rated so low. The highest rated team is Penn State right now and they split with highest rated team they have played, Notre Dame (#15 in PWR) The WCHA has really fallen off from last year.

UND having trouble getting any sustained pressure. -
NDSU plays Iowa (12-1) next year. If they beat Iowa (tall task), the pressure would probably really mount. As Iowa was a score away from being in the college football playoffs this year. College Gameday may return, especially if NDSU wins another Natty.

It was the front forum page. Doesn't seem to be happening today. Could have been a reaction to other tabs I had open. No biggie just something I noticed yesterday.
