It was a shill when negotiating the contract with the Alerus.

Not bashing. He could be keeping his possibilities open. He might think he's worth more than UND is offering after a march madness trip. Not out of the realm of possibility. I expect him to be back at UND.

That's probably what he's trying to find out. I'm sure not every open coaching position is open right now.

Maybe Jones wants a big FU to UND for not signing extension and is shopping around.

5% of the state budget for all those colleges combined. Where will that five percent go next time then. The revenue will go somewhere...Instead of supporting the small North Dakota town economy and educating people, it'll be used to help Fargo grow using more LSS (that's 4 U oxbow;)? Mayville would probably immediately go into a recession. Less immediate quality of life for those residents who enjoy watching a local college football game outdoors in October. Count a business or four to close. Are you for the closing of the GFAFB also to save a few bucks?

So pretty much what NDSU is doing with their new arena.

The state of North Dakota has more money now that it has ever had...its' not some 60+ year old colleges in small towns that's the issue. "These colleges" account for about five percent combined of the states budget. The economic benefit of hiring these teachers and educating people in the state is some of the best money the state can spend.

And good luck getting that...the ND Legacy Fund since inception is at 2.8%....so they'd probably need about $60 Million (and you'd have to find more money to keep up with inflation).

Does that even happen? "Here's a contract of no matter how crappy we think you're doing we can't send you down."?

Maybe that's why they cut womens hockey, time to convert those locker rooms. Those "napping couches" in the hangout area just isn't cutting it.

Oddly, I've also had that thought. I'm surprised there isn't a massive attached luxury building for them there yet. They already have their own on demand chef.

And to add to this perfectly timed practice: A coach probably invited them for the last ever practice at UND.
