The metal detectors are more for show and the "sense" of security. Half the people set the metal detector off and they'll just ask what it is and say ok...too long of a line to really do thorough checks.

I'll often watch Doug DeMuro on Youtube review all sorts of cars. He's pretty entertaining and has a large variety of cars he reviews. He has about a million subscribers. I was a little shocked when I clicked on him reviewing a $400,000 Lexus in a UND Fighting Hawk tshirt.

I've had similar thoughts. While other teams are out there recruiting new QB's constantly and getting transfers. UND might have thought they were good there and already had their guy. And focused more on other key positions that could have let a "difference maker" QB slip away. It's become increasingly clear to be an elite FCS team you need a QB that can constantly "make plays" and bail out an offense.

Apparently missing that coach from UND that went to Eastern Washington more than one thought.

UND didn't run it that much. Fake it a few times, ran it a couple. That's football man. Get use to it.

Nielson took over a USD team that finished. 3-5 in their conference. Bubba took over a UND team that was 2-6 in their conference. It's not this major difference that you make it out to be.

Any coach that comes in usually has some rebuilding to do...that's why they are the new coach. (Unless the former coach retired. Or got caught in scandals.)

Bubba is in year four. Roger won a playoff game in year 7 you said. How many years do you give Bubba to win a playoff game?

That's why I'll take Dale Lennon every day of Roger Thomas. "But Lennon didn't have to rebuild like Bubba." We could play this game all year long. It took UND 100 years to win one Division 2 Championship. Bottom line is...UND coulda, shoulda, woulda have "rebuilt" way quicker in Division 2 than they did. I'm not calling anyone to lose their job. It was one game and these things happen, but Bubba better win a playoff game before 7 years.

Building a reputation could take 20+ years. Could never happen. Team made the playoffs last year. Hopefully they will again this year, but year four and a blowout loss to an "equal team" doesn't help build any type of reputation.
