  1. I'm under the impression the other top ring to be added won't be a video board but "static" signage.
  2. Back around 2003 there was a Chinese restaurant in a strip mall between Walmart and Sams club (before it was it expanded into a "Super Walmart") in Grand Forks I went to eat there one day and it was closed with a note on the door. Something to the extend of "all animals have been taken to the humane society." I didnt think much of it til a few years ago later when I started hearing things about Chinese restaurants "reputation."
  3. KVLY just reported live pigeons were found in the basement of the King House Buffet in Fargo.
  4. When I was growing up I heard about how those 40" CRT TV's were so massive and no one needed such a big tv!
  5. Totally agree. It's likely already too small and outdated by the time they put it up. They should have went bigger and better to truly fit the building and upcoming customer tastes. I mean like will it even be bigger than the Minnesota Wild's?
  6. Finally tried Tea and Crepe downtown. Pleasantly surprised when I stepped in. Nice vibe, modern. Fits downtown well. Been in there a couple times and there are always customers. Seems like they do pretty well for themselves for a newish restaurant that most people don't know much about. "Bubble tea? Crepe?" https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/4263415-bubble-tea-and-crepe-cafe-coming-downtown-grand-forks
  7. I'd guess the job will go to a current D2 head coach.
  8. In/above or both?
  9. Shoves are in the ground but no detailed pics of the new hospital yet? Here's what Altru teased Altru might look like in 2020: ....seven years ago.
  10. There are some pics of a guy in Tampa in 2016 down at the beach wearing his SS fleece in 80 degree weather...
  11. If there suddenly starts to be new posters on SiouxSports and they pretty much post only in this thread. Think they are likely to cheerlead for someone?
  12. I guess oil business is picking back up. https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/nation/4608445-fastest-growing-us-city-scrambling-survive-shale-boom Aren't Midland Texas and Williston, ND pretty much connected at the hip?
  13. There was also some confusion about Jones exact position at Iowa when he was hired at UND. Consensus for the most part was he had just recently got demoted to "Director of Basketball Operations" at Iowa before he was hired at UND. And had never been any sort of head coach before UND.
  14. Miles > Phillips
  15. Let's not forget Schafer decommissioned Ray Richards. Kennedy was the one who said hey maybe we should bring it back.
  16. I'm liking Herbst from what I've read here.
  17. I just used the most recent numbers from the NCAA website. http://www.ncaa.org/championships/statistics/ncaa-mens-basketball-attendance
  18. 2018 Average Mens Basketball Attendance: SDSU 2,292 UND 1,865
  19. It is odd. It's not like these schools (NDSU or UND) can't afford another $100,000 a year for their head coach(es). Pay Bubba S and the men's basketball coach another $100,000 a year each. The athletic department can't afford another $200,000 a year? They are now not having to pay a few expensive sports or coaches they did a few years ago. Heck youd think a few donors could easily cover the increased costs. $13.3 or $13.5 million. https://www.sayanythingblog.com/entry/und-sports-programs-lost-13-3-million-2016/
  20. I can't believe how little NDSU pays its mens basketball coach. Especially for being the #2 sport on campus.
  21. All the next guy or gal has to do is not piss off donors or call the state racist, and they'll be ahead of the game! Kennedy set the bar pretty low for the next president.
  22. NDSU head coach, Dave Richmond, agreed to $190,000 base salary contract when he signed it in 2014.
  23. Ah yes that makes sense now. Isn't this a list of the top paid mens D1 basketball coaches? https://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/mens-basketball/coach/ South Dakota State still top 74 and only need to pay $400,000.
