  1. Serious question... Why?
  2. Mussman also mentioned that his philosophy is to recruit players that are the right "fit" for what type of football team they want to be. He said that he didn't recruit based on who "other teams are recruiting", though he did seem encouraged that losing a verbal commit to Northern Illinois gave validity to the fact that he and his staff were recruiting the right kinds of players.
  3. Poaching recruits just part of game. This story pertains to Colorado University, but is along the lines of the discussion last week regarding binding verbal commitments and coaches still contacting those players.
  4. Sorry to quote you again... situations were entirely different. Beurline was well justified to grab Malone's jersey in this situation. He was trying to diffuse the situation. Anderson was blind-sided by the kid and must have figured that he was run over purposely. When the player skated away, thinking his ass-chewing was over, Anderson skated after him and then grabbed his jersey. It was stupid and he should have received more than a verbal reprimand.
  5. Just for clarification, it was Brad Shepherd that grabbed Malone's facemask. Watch it here. I don't remember if he had done the same the week before during the Bemidji State/Robert Morris Saturday night game or not. That was a game that was even more out of hand than the Sioux/Gopher game and we all know which games he did the next weekend. Apple doesn't fall too far from the family tree, eh.
  6. Yeah, it would have been a huge difference if Duncan had not shown a "lack of mental conditioning" and instead been on the ice on Saturday night. I'm with Dagies. Seems that the guys on the points are too close together at times, allowing for one guy to cover both. Teams are also figuring out that being aggressive on the penalty kill against UND is very disruptive. The Sioux point men seem to panic more than in years past when teams are putting on the pressure. Genoway has been getting better at countering this, though. I remember Roche being great at this, too.
  7. It was Brad Sheperd that grabbed Malone's facemask.
  8. Bernie Burgraff was on with Joel Heitkamp yesterday and said pretty much the same thing. Joel: Bernie, what's the next step? Bernie: Coach Hakstol should go buy a set of choppers.
  9. Check your PM.
  10. Just heard on KFGO... Hak suspended for two games.

  12. If true, (and I have no reason to doubt it) good to see that Brad Shepherd was able to move up from being an AR in the CHA last weekend. He was part of a crew that totally lost control of the game in Bemidji between BSU and Robert Morris. And now he gets to do a Sioux/Gopher game.
  13. Where you going? KDLR picks up the feed, I'm pretty sure?
  14. It would be worth your while to drive to the U of M campus and walk up to Mariucci. There will likely be season ticket holders out front of the arena selling extra seats. This has worked for me in years when the Gophers had very good teams for this series (did it twice). Didn't pay more than face value.
  15. Gopher bio pic For comparison.

  17. D. Sheppard has dibs on that one.
  18. From the minutes: Did this happen?

  20. So, he is going to the same school to compete against his brother/cousin for playing time? Kind of doubt that Bohl would waste his time by continuing to recruit a kicker that had verballed elsewhere. A blue-chip QB or RB, maybe... but a kicker? Doubt it. Wonder if Mussman (or Bohl) even has a clue as to who this kid is. Maybe avjobar08 finally figured out that the retractable roof stadium wasn't going to be built by next fall.
  21. Admit it to who? You?
  22. Aren't there any more Pudenz connections? Cousins? Nieces? Daughters? Clones?
  23. Was able to get everything to work reasonably well, but had some freeze-up issues of the video. It wasn't a buffering issue, as the sound would stay in real-time. Was this due to the signal strength from my wireless router? Or was it due to something else?
  24. From the above referenced article: Is this info the truth? Unless you are a member of the NDSU coaching staff, Bison Dan, you have no idea if they asked him to walk on or if NDSU's interest garnered a scholarship offer. (It would be pretty scary for NDSU if you are a member of the coaching staff. ) This article shows that NDSU had shown interest. Pretty tough to dispute that since it is right there. The extent of that interest isn't known, but from the article it is pretty difficult to assume that he was asked to walk on. Unless you have the magic superpowers of a poster named Bison Dan.
  25. Mankato's uni's had the RBK logo on them (Reebok), so not Nike Swifts.
