Did you stay up all night working on this post? The master plan is for the FUTURE, which doesn't necessarily mean IMMEDIATELY. That is usually how planning works; they use projected, or maybe even possible, needs and put together a plan. I understand it is a novel concept for you, but come on. Shouldn't you be on a different board discussing one of the most remarkable wins in your school's history? Your team could (should) go undefeated this year and you and Hammersmith have to come to UND's board worried about UND's possibility of a future football stadium. What's wrong with this picture?

Pretty similar to that of Maine State's.

The U of Wyoming plays in a city with a population of about 27,000 in a stadium with a capacity slightly over 30,000. Last year's average attendance was around 21,000 for a crappy team. Source. The people in Wyoming (that aren't Nebraska fans) are driving to Laramie from all over the state on Saturdays. It isn't that far-fetched to think it could work at UND. Even Jeff Kolpack seems somewhat threatened, or even offended, by UND even bringing it up. There are likely many other examples of it working all around the country. Who would have thought years ago that the NFL could succeed in tiny little Green Bay, WI?

That is true, as was the case with EVERY coach of any sport at UND prior to the initial 5 yr contract signed by Dean Blais.

Ahh, you're one of those "in the know". This "contract" that was allegedly in the hands of Roger Thomas sure gets brought up a lot. So, you got a copy? There is this thing called a scanner that allows you to make copies and create PDF's of different things, including documents. Surely one of the millions that has seen this "contract" would be capable of doing such a thing and posting a copy on the internet. If someone is capable of emailing it to me, I'll even post it on a website. I assume it was a "fair" contract to both parties, including UND. I guess we "choose" to blew our "change". Seriously, do you communicate the same way when speaking? You must be one of those guys that gets so worked up reading an internet message board that you can't see straight. Take a breath before typing next time. Jeez. How's it go? "Anyplace, anywhere, anytime"? Sounds cool. I suppose it works in theory. Is Notre Dame on the schedule yet? How about UCLA? Florida? Florida State? University of NORTH DAKOTA?

To me, it seems to be more a call for some real-life examples than it is beating the drum for Buning. Remember, not everyone is uber connected to the UND athletic department 24/7. Looks like a few too many assumptions and reading too much into posts throughout this thread.

Thought you were going to WeFest?

Not to be picky, but the article was pretty clear. From the quoted article:

Goon's right, hockeymom. Prove it. Maybe you and Goon can have an eating contest at an unnamed establishment in GF to settle this great debate.

You just replied to the wrong post, right? Me, a BisonBacker? Goof in Fargo, pretty sure that PCM isn't a moderator on siouxsports.com. Maybe he wanted to send you a PM so that he didn't have to call you a prick in public.
-
How come your name isn't "DI (FCS) IN FARGO"? Aren't you falsely representing your school's position? Show some respect.

Pretty sure Scott & David (Izzy) Marvin are brothers. Hockey DB UND Sioux all-time roster

Have you seen Malone play?

Realizing that his departure from the BCS school wasn't by his own choice, this guy did it at a school transitioning to the (at that time) I-AA level. Maybe you're familiar with him?

Your post count is evidence of that.

Isn't Carroll College an NAIA school? (I know you all were thinking it, too. )

TT's coaching ability isn't the issue. It's the criteria that has been set up by the last two committees to hire head coaches at UND. They included "head coaching experience at the NCAA level" as a requirement on each job description. Many fans feel that severely limited the pool of potential suitors for each job. Using that same criteria, TT wouldn't be an acceptable candidate, which would be a shame.

There is some discussion going on in http://siouxsports.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8707, a topic that isn't as "quite" as this one.

Those of us that are able to read have seen many innuendos from different posters about tension between UND's coaching staff in many sports and the athletic administration. That Lennon, or anyone else, is looking isn't a huge surprise. However, there can't be many fans out there that actually want him to go anywhere. Thanks for your concern.
