And those folks (behind Cratter in his picture) will be sure to be complaining about how they stood in line and didn't get stubs. C'mon ... do the math. Best as I can guess (and based on Cratter's earlier post and my driving past), you had to be in line about 0500 Thursday morning to have a shot.

I had opportunity during my travels to float on by between 0630 and 0700. I saw at least a half dozen tents and the line went from the doors (SW corner of building) across the entire south side to beyond the SE corner of the building. If Cratter is #70 in line, and everyone in line buys two tickets, they're sold out.

< jumping into same rabbit hole > The apex predator raptor of the region is the great horned owl, aka the hoot owl. So gfhockey, how do you feel about hoo ... nevermind. And since we're down the rabbit hole, I actually saw a bald eagle cruising over a section of the Sheyenne River during my travels just the other day. (Here's where someone mentions that raptor is on the state flag ... ) < / rabbit hole >

You folks are way way too wound up over some fish wrap column filler's mindless musings. All this person did is take the statements from the "expert" (that schools to tend to use a color and a bird) and come up with something they thought to be cute. The writer could have just as easily come up with something just as < gag > original like "Black Hawks" or "White Owls" or "Green Falcons".

OK, before everyone jumps on me, I know KRACH numbers mean nothing in an "absolute" sense; they are used for "relative" comparisons. I get that. However, if you take the (rounded to whole number) KRACH numbers for the teams (from this site or USCHO) and put them together by regional you get: South Bend Regional: 1066 (<-- RIT's KRACH of 43 really hurts MSUM's 523 contribution) Manchester Regional: 1143 Providence Regional: 1180 Fargo Regional: 1373 So using those relative numbers for a relative comparison, that says to me the toughest regional is the Western (Fargo).

There can only be one response to this ... TOUCHDOWN!!!

You're so, so close BIZ ... BU, BC, Hahvid, ... and UND wins the 'Beanpot'.

The pivotal game is the next game. "Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all of the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing." -- some guy named Lombardi

Got a note that UND is doing a pre-game party at Fargo Gastropub on Friday starting at ... 10 am.

The opening paragraph of the article was written to evoke, but not to live in reality. The answers to the Q&A are pretty much dead on: Except for this epic fail : With Minnesota basically a creature that is indistinguishable to the average citizen, it's unmarketable. And, Dr. Kelley has done one right thing and said we're not going back there. Closing thought: I knew Stanford had done Indians Cardinal. I did not know UMass had been the Redmen before the Minutemen.

2015 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament
The Sicatoka replied to fightingsioux4life's topic in Men's Basketball
A 2 took a 15 lightly and had to work. They should've been smarter; they should've seen what some 14s did to some 3s the day before. -
In the past they've used ESPN News to cover overlaps like that.
-
Agree. That single difference from what they did could have significantly helped attendance in South Bend (and saved HU a flight; UMTC was flying either way).
-
The 1 seeds are pretty simple: MSUM to South Bend, UND to Fargo, BU to Providence, Miami to Manchester. In the 4 seeds I see four eastern schools. About the only concern is do they keep Providence (not a host) in Providence, otherwise I expect "straight chalk" (1 v 16, 2 v 15, etc). In the 3 seeds I see two east, two west. My guess is they'll try to keep east east and west west for attendance and travel. Their problem is South Bend attendance with MSU-Mankato as the 1 there. They need a "name" -- Minnesota -- on the marquee there. That would put SCSU in Fargo. The 2 seeds I expect "chalk" also: 8 UNO to MSUM (which works for travel also); 7 MTU to Fargo; 6 Duluth to BU; 5 DU to Miami

You miscalculated Lakeville North's RPI again I bet.
-
CHN has 8 Harv 9 UNO; USCHO has 8 UNO 9 Harv. CHN has 13 QU 14 Yale ; USCHO has 13 Yale 14 QU

Interested to know how the right knee on 24 Minnesota feels about now after going into the boards hard late in the third against Michigan also.

No, Tech needs to come out fired up and wanting to hold onto that PWR4 slot, and UND needs to heed the immortal advice of Al Davis*. The rest is just minor details, because from here on out, Al's right ... and the hulls are in flames. * "Just win baby."

Getting that goal gave DU some confidence. Now it's 4-3 with 13:30 to go. Keep playing hard guys. Why not overtime. What the heck, why not a couple OTs.
