  1. Such is the way of the coaching world. It would not surprise me.
  2. Mentioning co-ops, here's a mess of a map showing ND school districts. https://www.nd.gov/dpi/uploads/171/map.pdf
  3. They should've co-op'd with Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg to be ... the Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg-Central Valley Valiant Patriots. < facepalm > Logo: The MPCG Patriot on the CV horse. They should've called me. I'd give them an invoice for $50k for that.
  4. Too easy: Whatever mojo they had going they blew up with the deadline deal with Arizona.
  5. If UND had done this without that step I'd be terrified. Instead, they brought in Baker Donelson. And the guy leading BD's Title IX resource group? Uh, yeah, ... "proactive", "litigation avoidance" ... as in he does the audit of what you're going to do before you do it because he knows what the auditors from US OCR will come looking for and he makes sure what OCR finds is all legally compliant. https://www.bakerdonelson.com/Baker-Donelson-Launches-Title-IX-Higher-Education-Group
  6. End of Round One (Mon Apr 24): 38 - Engineer 36 - KoolGuy2K35 - sioux rube34 - The Sicatoka 32 - stoneySIOUX32 - George M. Bluth30 - Shawn-O29 - 90siouxfan26 - Ray7715* - siouxforcefans Please verify.
  7. There will be as soon as you search the site and create it.
  8. Ray -- second round pick (winner and game) need to be in before first puck drop on Wednesday.
  9. Nah. The Wild's fail surprised me. I expected them to make the epic comeback, win game five, and then go to Bridgestone and get obliterated. That would be more the Minnesota pro sports pattern: At the darkest hour give a shining glimmer of hope, only to completely and utterly dash it with a drop straight into sports obliteration Hell.
  10. We both had WAS in 5; it was WAS in 6. One slot so both +1 End of the first round, The Sicatoka leads Ray77 26 to 31. Ray77: Please check my math.
  11. Ray and I both had BOS in 6; it was OTT in 6. BOS 4 5 6 7 7 6 5 4 OTT That's 3 slots, wrong team, +6 for both. The Sicatoka: 25 Ray 77: 30
  12. Ray and I both had EDM in 7; it was EDM in 6. We both take a point: Ray 24, me 19.
  13. Ray had NYR in 7; I had MON in 7; it was NYR 6. Ray missed by a slot, 1, so totals 23. I missed by two but wrong team, so +4, for 18.
  14. Ray had MIN in 6; I had STL in 6; it was STL in 5. MIN 4 5 6 7 7 6 5 4 STL I missed by one slot (+1) so I'm at 14. Ray missed by 4 but wrong team so +8, so he's at 22.
  15. Maple Leafs ... fallen. Welcome to Round Two ... WAS v PIT OTT v NYR STL v NAS ANA v EDM
  16. Bruins ... hibernated.
  17. Yup. But remember: They targeted having the endowment generate $1 million annually. UND WIH needs $2 million annually based on the FY16 NCAA report. Thus, you need double the endowment: $60 million. Don't get lost in the details: ASU said $30 million to generate $1 million annually. UND WIH needs $2 million annually, so $60 million. Don't blame me, it's ASU's numbers.
  18. Investopedia.com is your friend.
  19. Dickinson State is looking at closing down: two sports their nursing program an academic department Because of an $8.8 million (30%) cut by the state legislature. http://www.inforum.com/news/4254978-dickinson-state-funding-proposal-likely-flashpoint-late-session Everyone is feeling this pain; some are publicly admitting it.
  20. Arizona State estimated they needed a $30 million endowment in 2015, but with half the operating budget: Source: http://www.houseofsparky.com/2015/4/19/8448887/asu-arizona-state-hockey-ncaa-division-i-masters-thesis-sun-devil I'll say it again: UND WIH's operating expenses were more than DOUBLE the estimated ASU number of $1 million; thus, double (at least) the estimated ASU $30 million endowment. There is your $60 million. Next question. Somebody tweet that little factoid, or this link (to this post) to her.
  21. As I've shown already, UND WIH's operating budget was nominally $2.4 million (expenses). A $60 million endowment at 4% interest would generate that. If you don't understand that math (meaning not just 0.04 * $60M, but how you operate an endowment) you should raise your game first, and then complain to the former CFO of Macy's.
  22. It took a $90 million donation at Penn State.
  23. Canadiens ... Anglicized Sharks ... Martin Brody'd
  24. He is being subjective. Journalists should be objective.
  25. Wild ... ... ... domesticated.
