  1. My thought is this: If the officials confer to decide "2 or 5", if it's 5 because the other player is injured, the other player shouldn't be on the ice either after the call and risk further injury. It might stop some of the floppers and divers if, yeah, sure, they drew the five, but they also had to sit as a player safety precaution. If you're hurt so bad that they had to assist you off the ice (because of major penalty level contact) you probably shouldn't be out there afterward.
  2. Someone pointed out 14/17 of NDSU's OL are regional. This region produces OL types. So, how about we start to tap into that potential (and maybe get a couple away from the xDSUs).
  3. So who did Stitt finally lose favor with? Could it be said that the tables were turned, and .... The fans hit the Stitt?
  4. Where's the Kawaguchi no-goal video?
  5. The only place you are innocent until proven guilty is in the court system. I'm pretty sure the minute a player chose to join a UND Athletics team they consented to a system where the mere appearance of impropriety is enough for action and that due process is a decision, arbitrary or not, by a coach or administrator.
  6. No. NO. NO. Most folks on "sleep meds" have a sleeping disorder and probably need CPAP therapy, not chemicals.
  7. Chicken or egg?
  8. You can't play QB on your back.
  9. Here's a secret about a local radio station: If you hear your local station running lots of ads for national products/advertisers the station is in trouble. Those are syndicated ads and provide very little revenue to the station. Local radio stations that are making it are doing it by selling local ads to local businesses with local listeners.
  10. Tell me about your offensive line and I'll tell you about your season.
  11. This thread has run its course.
  12. You're just trying to create your own little Kim Jung-Un moment.
  13. Just pick something out of the catalog; they'll adjust the color scheme. https://www.google.com/search?q=bad+adidas+uniforms&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjJiJyJ5M3XAhXmzIMKHa8fBBIQsAQILA&biw=1536&bih=754#imgrc=_
  14. Friday: UND had 4 penalties for 8 minutes, DU got 2 PPG Saturday: UND had 8 penalties* for 27 minutes, DU got 3 PPG Data per CollegeHockeyStats.net *Included in there is a 5 minute major and 10 minute disqualification.
  15. There were redshirts that didn't have to be pulled due to injury?
  16. I predict adidas will take the earth-shattering, ground-breaking, radical step of using the same font for the letters and numbers on the hockey jerseys (and nothing else will change from the 2017-18 design).
  17. I pronounce it letter-by-letter, but I may slide the first C a little bit so it ends up sounding like a Z.
  18. Not sure what is more amazing: That we're supposed to believe that UND didn't make adjustments but instead just kept committing penalty after penalty A verified "PCM" sighting
  19. The answer is two "M" words: Money. Mom. He was raised by a single mother who worked two jobs to support him and his sister.
  20. Random names I see missing from this thread: James Patrick Rick Zombo Mark Taylor Mark Chorney Dixon Ward Doug Smail Bob Joyce Steve Johnson Lefty Curran

    2018 Season

C'mon geaux, I'm serious: project the 2-deep come fall camp.
  22. Shiny new home: http://jlgarchitects.com/article/110817/new-school-owned-ice-arena-opens-in-west-fargo It's a mile south of I-94 at the Sheyenne Street interchange.
  23. So UND stormed back to win Friday in Denver. And then goes up 1-0 on Saturday. I know we've all heard the phrase "referee a split"; however, has it ever been so overt? I won't complain about any particular call; I'll just lay out the facts: The last seven penalties of the game were called against one team. Penalties were 8-1 against UND. Penalty minutes were 27-2 against UND. UND was put down to 11 skaters on Saturday at altitude (affecting lines and PK). The longest string of penalties I can see in any DU game before this was 5 in a row against WMU (game ended 10-4 penalties against WMU). So you're telling me in 2+ periods of hockey DU never slashed, never took a step into a guy's open skating lane, never gave a little tug with the stick blade on a hip, never left a stick in a guys feet staggering him, never grabbed on a bit too hard or a bit too long along the boards. In today's college hockey. Yeah right. UND got the daily double: They got to see the Denver at home factor. They got to experience "referee a split". I hope this young team remembers this feeling and uses it as a motivator for the rest of the season.
