  1. I just realized that NDSU doesn't use the official logo on their FB helmets. The still use snot-nose, er, snorty. I'm guessing because it's easily mirrored.
  2. Is it asking too much for the Department (capital D, as in UND Athletic Department) to set a standard across the board for all helmets? Something like: - green helmets have black/white logo on sides and UND in black letters above the wearer's nose - black helmets have green/white logo on sides and UND in white letters above the wearer's nose
  3. If I could I'd vote for Noem or Bergum over the three options now (and yes, I'm countin' Ye.)
  4. October surprise?
  5. The videos are NSFW.
  6. That is what is called .... The one variable illusion – people look for a silver bullet when in reality almost always multiple variables matter https://blas.com/tag/scott-adams/
  7. Ron White is "You can't fix stupid." Denis Leary is "Get a < bleep > helmet." Both apply. EDIT: Wait ... White has a shtick about helmets also. Forgot that.
  8. ... basket of deplorables ... ... the smell of Trump supporters at Walmart ... That stuff sticks with the targets of the denigration; it motivates.
  9. What's worse: - false negative - false positive - untrustworthy tests
  10. I have it on strong authority (I know a mid-to-high level SD Republican party apparatchik) that Gov. Noem have been to DC more than a couple times to visit with the Executive Branch in the last 60 days. Keep an eye out for upcoming events in Sioux Falls is what I was also told.
  11. Any truth to the rumor his last words were: "You'll never take me alive, copper!"
  12. In Nevada where Caesar's Palace can be open and full, but God's palace can not, some churches decided to hold services in ... a casino! I wonder if "that guy" showed up and tossed over the tables of the money changers.
  13. I miss the days of only having to worry about one rainbow scale.
  14. It does not bode well that the NCAA main offices (Indianapolis) are furloughing most staff for up to eight weeks. https://www.forbes.com/sites/carlieporterfield/2020/09/02/ncaa-will-reportedly-furlough-all-staff-for-at-least-three-weeks/#528d40f26194 But fear not dear reader, for hidden in that story is that NCAA senior execs and up are not subject to the furlough. < facepalm >
  15. The director of a Fargo-area elder care facility moved into an open space at the start of this --> self-quarantined with the residents. I believe they made it about three weeks before they started going home (real home) at end of shift. Even with Bismarck "hot" the facilities there are allowing 30 minute outdoor scheduled visits. They admit the nominal risk is well worth heading off the guaranteed damage continued isolation is doing.
  16. Like I said, ... The alternative would be full tracing of where that worker's been since last shift or quarantining the staff inside the elder care facility for weeks on end. Frankly, the quarantining is the only 100% safe option as neither tracing nor testing are fool-proof.
  17. That's the "design the defect out" process; it just happens to be a 'test' in this case. (In the engineering world it's a design review or prototyping.)

If these allegations about T. Denny are true, it'd be a good time to be in the signage business. A lot of them are going to be replaced.
  19. Better to never inject the defect into the product. Design systems so the defect can not occur; good design up front to design out the defect. Things like ... don't put infected folks in elder care homes.
  20. This is why testing is a joke. In engineering terms, testing is too late: The defect is already in the product.
  21. Mask. Star of David. Forced to wear when in public to let the world know who is in charge and who is subservient. Bucks’ analogy isn’t so far off.
  22. The dress code for a peaceful protest in Portland appears to be helmet, goggles, and body armor. I don’t recall Dr King sporting the Kevlar.
  23. 6%?!?!? If these are the real numbers we’ve all been hoodwinked. https://m.facebook.com/1566405890/posts/10224050038749877/?extid=gr0T716wo2v3tjFm&d=n
  24. The 17 year old has released a statement via his sex trade workers, er, lawyers, ... meh, it’s the same thing only different *. *both groups do it to you for the money.
  25. Who spends more time in jail convicted of a crime: - Floyd’s MSP cop - Blake’s Wisconsin cop - 17 year old in Wisconsin
