  1. I had old 81 all to myself last night. I was going as fast as the interstate (can see it) but no cars in ditch, no wreckers, no stoppages. Heard about wreck between Hillsboro and Alton (MM 102) so stayed on 81 to Grandin then went more normal routes.
  2. HEA going to “one game” tournament is interesting: - more prototypic of what is coming - less wear on the teams before the NCAAs
  3. You mean Gabinet will have to coach and not just grouse?
  4. Say UND and DU meet at the X: would UND still be sent to Loveland a week later?
  5. You assume a great deal, such as UND being interested (the president removed him) and the player wanting to go back to where he was booted.
  6. Here’s hoping for a DU/UND final at the X Saturday. Why? I’d doubt the NCAA would set up a hard rematch a week later in the Regional in Loveland.
  7. Way too early 2022-23 predictions: - teams that kept a whole batch of super seniors (SCSU, WMU, UMD) will drop a place or two next season - CC will be next season’s big riser in the standings: that system they play is reminiscent of Mankato in the late 1990s, a total counter-punching lockdown.
  8. #@%&*! Rodents, yes.
  9. Image if Grant Cruikshank had stayed at CC this year. They’d have had an offensive threat. That said, CC is going to be miserable to play the next two seasons as they are so young.
  10. Forty-two, forty-three centuries and he’ll be in the conversation with Ovechkin.
  11. No number in the blue column, no more 2021-22 season. Only a number under AQ, it’s win the conference tourney or 2021-22 is over. The anomaly is Ohio State: they are left to watch TV and hope the 40% At Large chance breaks their way as they have no more games scheduled. https://www.collegehockeynews.com/ratings/probabilityMatrix.php
  12. Malone got a goal in the WAS/EDM game. Six year gap between NHL goals.
  13. If you’re worried about the A-10 moving away from the Atlantic, can you show me any summit (mountain peak) in the Summit League?
  14. Adam Scheel is the Stars backup today. As a goalie, if he’s dressed and on the bench, he’s in. And Brad Malone makes a return to the roster (EDM).
  15. Cornell's coach wasn't behind the bench for game two at UND back in January. Sounds like he hasn't been behind the bench since, either. https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2022/03/10_Watching-and-Waiting.php
  16. Is he close to having his son skate on a line with him?
  17. If you're right, that could be good or bad for USD.
  18. Who's setting up the GoFundMe to buy whistles for last night's officials? Apparently they don't have them. Proof? 28 was cross-checked in the low back violently in the first in front of the net 20 was nearly decapitated going to the student section boards in the third 17 was at minimum tripped (stick hit skate boot) late in the third No whistles on any of those, and those were just the egregious ones. Now, before you say "let 'em play" and "I don't want officials deciding the game" ... an official that does NOT make a call can have just as much affect on a game as one who does make a call.
  19. Puck possession matters: Not having Ford last night shows it because draws were almost even (31-28 UND). Ford wins a crazy fraction and when he does that possession and you dictate from that point, and the other side is left to chase and try to regain. Here's hoping Ford is off the rack and back at full speed tonight. I feel much better when he's taking draws, especially in the defensive zone.
  20. Might USD's action be related to the following? Dosch uses the poison word "tampering" regarding our 2022 Summit MBB ROY (a SD native) going to the portal. <-- Yes, I'm inferring that's who Dosch's post is about. The timing and topic is beyond coincidence. That word gets NCAA attention. What's Dosch know. And was this pre-emptive action by USD.
  21. Does this mean the Notre Dame (Saskatchewan) Hounds?
  22. To twist an Ali quote, Hain's got two chances, Slim and None. And Slim just left town.
  23. It'd be great for football, ... but other events? And what'd be the impact on the heating and cooling bills?
  24. Midco Sports Plus
  25. All the bracket info for all leagues here: https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/tourneywatch/ AHA will be taking PWR 16 slot. The ECAC? If it's not Q'piac, they'll be eating PWR 15 (away from an at-large). Looking at that bracket, to me Q'pack is most vulnerable should they have to meet up with Cornell in the semis. I say that because we know Cornell, when they play the right way, can beat a top six PWR team. < cringe > Otherwise, Q'piac has lost to Clarkson and would have payback on the brain. HEA: Boston College, Maine, and Providence in opening round play-in games. Oh. My. And HEA has PWR slots 12, 13, 14, and 16 today. You have to figure two of those teams (plus AHA and if not Q'piac ECAC) will be four-seeds. Imagine being (assumed one-seeds) Michigan, or Mankato, or Minnesota, and getting your opening game in Worchester MA or Albany NY or Allentown PA against (assumed four-seed) UMass, Northeastern, UMass-Lowell, or BU (or Clarkson or Cornell should they win the ECAC). Those are my musing thus far ...
