The only surprising part of that is "no seniors ... back". There are really only three starting goalies left in the portal (to my knowledge): Thome, Driscoll, and Kraws. The no seniors back says it's Driscoll or Kraws. But it also says it might be "Portal Guy", Harrison Feeney, and Kaleb Johnson as the the goalies. Ford coming in from BGSU actually makes me comfortable at forward. The team needed a center and they got it. Ford plus four freshmen is workable; but, if there is the right portal forward available you look. No seniors also means four new faces on defense. That's scary unless Moore vastly improves in the defensive end or one of the new four is a Portal. With the announcement of Ford, I'd say the portal priorities in order are: goaltender, defenseman, the right forward (don't settle, go with a recruit otherwise)

When ( ... if? ... ) we ever get back to football in the fall, will a 1-3 team with a bunch of dinged up players be able to shut down their fall season too?

I still see a roster needing 5F/4D/2G. Seems Portz and Schmaltz are (local consensus) 2 of the 5 F. Connor Ford as a portal makes 3. Need 2. Defense? Need 4. Luke Bast by age makes sense. The other recruits would all still be 18 at season start (Morrow and Benoit would be basically the same age as Frisch when he came in). And then Gabe Bast and Josh Rieger still have Covid years. Honestly, we're looking for 3 names here still. Goalie? Need two. Kasey Johnson is the recruit and the age. There are options in the portal (Thome, Driscoll). We are looking for a name here also. PS - Goehring spoke highly of Harrison Feeney during the season. How good is he? Could he be a viable number two goalie and Johnson is the third?
