  1. Be sure to look “Read the full conversation on Twitter” to see “Not a suspension”.
  2. BC, UNH, and Maine all near one end of the HEA standings ... the bottom end. This ain't the 1990s no more I guess. https://www.collegehockeynews.com/reports/conf/Hockey-East/5
  3. Standings: DU 18 41 UND 18 39 WMU 18 34 UMD 17 29 SCSU 17 25 UNO 18 19 CC 18 14 Miami 18 12 Observations: - The CC/Miami series this weekend will probably decide 7/8. - WMU lost control of their #PenneRosa destiny with their weekend performance - UMD and SCSU still have 9 points to settle between them; it gives SCSU hope of home ice - UNO has closes out with six at home, and will probably have a say in who hoists #PenneRosa given the schedule
  4. As they say in racing ... DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME! What's left? UMD and SCSU have 7 left, rest have 6. Team (H/R): schedule DU (1/5): @WMU, @UNO, @/H CC UND (2/4): @UMD, WMU, @UNO WMU (4/2): DU, @UND, Miami UMD (4/3): UND, @SCSU(1), @Miami, SCSU SCSU (3/4): @UNO, UMD(1), CC, @UMD UNO (6/0): SCSU, DU, UND CC (3/3): Miami, @SCSU, H/@ DU Miami (2/4): @CC, UMD, @WMU
  5. The inquiry should come on UND Athletic Department letterhead signed by the AD and co-signed by Berry. "Uncle Andy's" initials by the AD's signature, as an acknowledgement by 300 Twamley that the letter was sent, would be a nice touch.
  6. You could see the air go out of CC at 4-0. They hit the AutoStart on the bus. About eight minutes left I turned to person with me and said, "This team is playing for something on the scoreboard of which one does not speak at this time." They looked at scoreboard and ... said nothing, but knew, and then realized what they were seeing based on play. That team was on a mission to keep the 'zee-row' up there.
  7. He has a hard, accurate shot. Putting him (right handed) in "Ovie's Office" makes sense. And it keeps a second D on the ice during the PP with Sanderson or Jandric running point.
  8. Behind the line, off the skate bottom, nothing but net.
  9. Back to important stuff: When US NTDP was here and Logan Cooley is available again, did we send Connor Ford out for faceoffs against him with recruiting materials, an application for fall? Did (Pittsburgh hometown) Connor Ford mention how much fun he is having at UND to (Pittsburgh hometown) Logan Cooley? < at faceoff dot > "Hey Logan, I'm Connor, I'm from P'burgh too. Sorry the students are away. This place is raucous when there's 12000 in here cheering for me ... or you. You should really try it for about four years ... "
  10. You couldn't read any numbers during the CAN/USA game. White on white or black on dark red.
  11. I get your point, but the OSU guy initiated the contact. I'm no Goofie apologist, but I think UM guy was trying to keep his balance and just got under the OSU guy. Think UND25 hitting the brakes and getting hit from behind, but still laying out two different CC players Friday. Don't blame the player receiving contact unless it's a flagrant violation, like cross-check or elbow. (Note: The second UND25 hits brakes case, the CC captain went down, and it should've been a checking from behind call on CC. Yes, I'm serious.)
  12. @spomer_hky does a nice Tweet yesterday with the DU hit on Senden in comparison with Moore's hit. His point: How is one a suspension and the other not.
  13. Why you bringing up Western?
  14. We all know "green is good!" Too many other colors on this map this year. https://travel.dot.nd.gov/
  15. The NCAA avoids intra-conference first round matchups. If DU is the Loveland 1-seed, UND won't go there as a 4-seed. (If DU is the 1, UND would as a 3-seed, as second round intra-conference is allowed.)
  16. Oh ... but, but, but, ... she's a minor and didn't know what was being given to her ... < sigh > Does this mean "ROC" is no better than "Russia" and they'll have to make up another fake, shady entity to sent Russians to the Olympics?
  17. Here is last week's card: Senden is out. Budy is in. Assume Ferner and Jamernik are questionable. Make chicken salad. Go!
  18. The "Morgan Olsen" mentioned here should've been UND President instead of Kennedy. (If you know, you know, and this one I know.)
  19. So Nick Schmaltz will be playing in the NHL in an arena with half the seating capacity of where he played in college.
  20. Someone say they had a toe to tow? Call these guys ...
  21. Birds fly, fish swim, sun rises in the east, payday's Friday, and it only goes uphill if you pump it. Oh, and don't chew your fingernails if you're a plumber.
  22. No. The ND SBHE would not have allow the project (granted permission) to proceed unless there was a funding plan to repay the bonds in place.
  23. Along that same thought line, and former players, ... PHI didn't bring Carter Hart up until Hak was released. (Not sure Hart is a solution for PHI either way.) NHL head coaches should start negotiating contract terms to include near-GM level powers over goaltending.
  24. I have more questions.
  25. BOS's run: Bergeron, Marchand, Chara, Rask PIT's run: Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Fleury CHI's run: Toews, Kane, Keith, Crawford LAK's run: Kopitar, Brown, Doughty, Quick TBL's run: Point, Kucherov, Hedman, Vasilevskiy See a pattern? EDM: McDavid, Dreiseidl, Nurse(?), ____________ See something missing?
