I won't win some hearts and minds here, but I'd be fine if Hain moved on. We need speed and offense more than another bottom six grind, and, yes, that's what Hain is, especially coming off serious injury.

The team needs (in order): offense (a couple guys that create) speed across the board goaltender to pair with Hellsten (and it just might be Hedquist) (late add/edit) a faceoff winning center man, and if that ends up as part of bullet point one, so be it

Bid sites must hold 5000. Many USHL rinks don’t. Fargo, Sioux Falls, Green Bay do. Not sure on others that do.

The committee worries about “flights”. So why select three regional sites that are within 300 miles of each other when the fly/drive cutoff is 500 miles?

The simplest bracket is straight chalk. The only conflict is UND/SCSU. You swap SCSU and UMass. You look at that and see … Mankato/Harvard and UND/UMass and say Worcester because of two MA teams. You quietly ask Michigan “Albany or Allentown” and WMU gets the other. Presto. Done.
