Unpopular take, but here it is: No more destination games. It's too much about the destination and not enough about the game.

ORU and UMKC each have 8 losses. UND has 9 wins. My math says UND's magic number to a bid is 2.

I saw a team that took the ball with about 8 left and a 3 point lead, knowing their defense was struggling, and proceed to ram the ball down the field and thus kill the clock to win. What do you call that? About this game: Was I happy? No. I’m emotionally spent and feel like I played the game. But I knew this one would be harder than any of us wanted. Like I said, survived a trap game.

They just beat a team that was 5-2 coming in the week after an emotional loss. They survived a trap game. Time to get serious again.

We must live within our means. (When we were a 21 sport department it just wasn't going to work. Now it's 17.) We must not do harm to existing revenue streams. We must find new revenue streams to provide for growth.

@Vegas_Sioux ... isn't this technically a home game for you?

Will shifting budget get the same ROI? That's a dangerous game to be playing. And the fall can be fast, see: Wisconsin, Boston College. And there's a funding and facilities war in that "niche" as much as any sport. You can't build up by tearing down.

Why do I like the Bombers' uniforms? I'm not normally a fan of metallic helmets.

I have no problem trying to raise FB and BB, but you'll be hard-pressed to convince me to pull back from what has been built into a top five in the nation program.

Earl Strinden left fiscal structures to be proud of (UNDAA&F and REA). (I personally didn't always agree with Earl.)

If you said that cynically you need to do a better job showing it because it does not come through with the written word alone. (One "rolleyes" emoji goes miles.)
