  1. Let me save you trouble, what your 9-team would end up: #1 gets bye 9@2 etc, winners plus bye reseed and to Final Five format
  2. Your math doesn't work in a nine team field. After quarters you have FIVE teams left. Your semis account for only four.
  3. Closet RPI fan here (grad school). We have book on Blackheart. We're no quoting that RFP. No deal.
  4. Schmaltz has a little "Caulfield-Kunz syndrome": He's too nice. He's 6'2" and about 190. He's more "Jordan" than "Nick" sized. He needs to shove people around. I saw flashes late in the year when he put a guy on his back. I need more of that "edge" from him.
  5. Straight out of the NCAA rule book. Home is "light", not white. Then they go on to give examples of "light".
  6. What's hidden in my 21-22-17 notion besides getter-setter-shooter is that it gets some beef out there, and a net front guy.
  7. Know what impresses scouts? Not being a half stride late and stopping your coverage guy from an easy backdoor tap in.
  8. That's a trick. Hey, read his Clarkson page (I linked it) and see who recruited him. Which of those needs a two-year goalie solution right now?
  9. I'd put 21 on a wing beside 22, with 17. Getter, setter, shooter.
  10. 22 is a setter. He needs a getter and a shooter around him.
  11. Clarkson Entrepreneurship major ... we've got that ...
  12. Not an Iron Chef fan? https://youtu.be/NCQ-8jwDybQ?t=272 Allez Cuisine! Love the Iron Chef jerseys, uh, uniforms.
  13. What Brad Berry does with: - goaltending - defense this off-season will play a huge factor in determining who the University of North Dakota men's ice hockey head coach is on September 15, 2024. I've just said the quiet part out loud.
  14. He needs to get stronger/heavier. A light breeze took the puck off his stick. But that is fixable ... paging Mr. Poolman, Mr. Mark Poolman ...
  15. Of that list of goalies, tell me why my top 3 targets shouldn't be: - Pavicich - Graham - West

  17. Be interesting to see his number here: https://www.capfriendly.com/signings Wait: Did he sign with Charlotte or with the NHL franchise?
  18. A good place to keep an eye on early or graduate signings: https://www.capfriendly.com/signings
  19. They think of "uniform" as a noun. I'd like some respect given to its adjective meaning also: remaining the same in all cases and at all times; unchanging in form or character. Can we get to a uniform look from a team? If I flip on a game and can't tell who is playing by the uniform uniforms they use, I may flip to Iron Chef. Bobby Flay is always in the black chef's coat ... Today's secret ingredient ... SQUID!!!
  20. Correct. I haunt other corners of the interwebs.
  21. Um ... 16F: two age out, one portal out, two expected recruits -> 15F 8D: three age out, two portal out, one expected to sign, one might, five recruits -> TBD (expect to land at 8D) 3G: one age out, one portal out, expect two incoming (source TBD) -> 3G It'll look different at G and D but the forwards have a lot of continuity.
  22. Gleason (F, CC) in the portal surprises me. He has two left.
  23. GP G A Pts +/- P-PIM 27 3 3 6 +4 0-0 26 2 1 3 -5 2-4 One is Albrecht, one is Costantini. And not what I expected.
  24. Nine lowest scorers on the team last year: - four now in the portal (G, D, D, F) - one is out of eligibility (G) - another is a G (say Cheese) - remaining three are F with five or six* points (Kunz, Ness, Albrecht) It's not like we lost production. *six points is max of this group of nine
  25. My advice: Quit bloviating here and send a letter/email to the NCHC league office with your concern.
