With Sather extended I know three things: - the staff won’t be Hoop, Good, and McB next season, and - we won’t have some new staff made up of guys with only NAIA experience next year, and - Sather will still be under the microscope.

2023-24 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

… and some played ten and shut down. The NCAA just disappeared the year given all the disparate scenarios. It was the simplest solution. -

Don’t get lost in words like grad or fifth year. There is no standard NCAA language teams use. In UND case it’s if they are done with an undergraduate degree or taking grad courses. Use hockeydb.com and count seasons of competition (discounting -21). -

Lindsay Scott had a medical exemption year and a COVID year so I understand how he could get seven academic years, it makes sense (usual five plus plus for seven). But six teams is a mystery to me. -
I leave for a day and come home to find this. You’re all grounded. Go to your room.

2023-24 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

Frisch has played -20, -21, -22, and -23 but -21 counts for no one so that’s why he has a remaining fourth year of competition. Albrecht did not play at all in -20 but was here. No competition. Seasons -21, -22, -23 he played but -21 counts for no one. Carson has only used two competitive seasons. He could play two more as Schlossman reports. -

This is their fourth year of countable competition and that’s all you get. The 2020-21 is not a countable year for anyone. -

@petey23 there is no fifth year for a grad transfer. It is you do not have to sit out a transfer year. But they still only got four seasons of competition. And it’s now all moot in a portal world. -

DeRidder played four competitive years at MSU. Only three count as one was 2020-21. His year at UND is his fourth and final eligible year of competition. He is done. -

You get four seasons of play/competition. You get five academic years to complete them. The 2020-21 year does not count towards either category (season of play or academic year). -
Well, he has skill at something, but if ASU won't put up with it ...

Not that stand out, but the main camera was "lost" an inordinate amount of the time. It's like it was either (a) someone's first hockey game*, or (b) the view from that camera nest is terrible and the op loses track of the puck. *They'd get lost on PK dumps and still be looking O-zone for a puck behind the other net.
-
I have to wonder who was running the main camera this weekend. Constantly over-zoomed and chasing, or losing, the puck. If it's a noob camera op, learn from the weak performance and attend a couple more hockey games to understand the flow. If it's a vet, tighten up the gimbal on that camera. PS - Nobody needs a cutaway during play to see the official's arm is up when the puck is still in play.
-
... or the coach to an official. But ya-gatta admit a triple-double is a solid performance.
-
That game has a slightly different "weighting" factor. But there's much for the lads to do before fretting about that.
-
@Sweethockeyis that a "third man" (dark hat, hoodie) also sportin' the Omaha double-bird? Omaha had a triple-double?
-
Run it. It's not a powerful as one would guess.
-
Oh no, there was Michael, and Jermaine, and Tito, and ... a couple more (Jackie and Marlon). It's easy as "ABC, 123" ... And depending, there might be a Jaksen at UND next year. Fine ... LouieJam

Has anyone checked on @gfhockeytoday? His team's season ended last night in Stearns County.

Looking at this scenario more ... it's a mess. Fargo, N.D. Scheels Arena March 23 & 25 University of North Dakota Manchester, N.H. SNHU Arena March 23 & 25 University of New Hampshire Allentown, Pa. PPL Center March 24 & 26 Pennsylvania State University and Spectra Bridgeport, Conn. Total Mortgage Arena March 24 & 26 Yale University and Sacred Heart University Where would you send #1 UMn? Not Fargo or Allentown as there are "home hosts". You protect the #1 from those. Gophers to "Manch-vegas"? Probably. Puts the Q in Bridgeport. You wouldn't send Mich to face PSU in PA would you, so Mich to Fargo and DU to PA and PSU. -
You're the one that started down this "Richard Gere and the gerbil" path.
