I recommend that you travel south and see if you can't merge ... Clemson and South Carolina Auburn and Alabama Mississippi and Mississippi State North Carolina and North Carolina State Heck, why not even just go for ... Kansas and Kansas State Iowa and Iowa State. Colorado has money issues. Tell them to merge Colorado and Colorado State whilest you are at it. Like I said before, this smells of the Shelbyville monorail (reference: The Simpsons).

Folks, this may be the UND Athletics board but there is more to UND than just Athletics. I'd be disappointed if any new campaign didn't address all aspects of UND (students, faculty, programs, facilities).

The Big Ten commish has already stated that if they needed hockey affiliate members they'd prefer Division I schools, FBS Division I schools* (and UND is FCS). Crazy as this sounds ... when are they going to bring in some defensemen. Before you all jump all over me, hang with me for a second: Genoway, Marto, and LaPoint are in their last years. Blood is a pretty big flight risk after this year. MacWilliam made big strides last year. If he repeats that could he be a flight risk? That leaves Gleason (now F/D), Hill (who won't see much ice), Forbort, and Simpson, with only Nick Mattson in the defenseman pipeline. Assume (only) Blood leaves early, that leaves for 2011-12: MacWilliam, Gleason, Forbort, Simpson, Hill, and Mattson. That's not enough.
