The NCAA "reconsidering" would mean admitting that they were wrong in their infinite wisdom. That. Will. Never. Happen. The better approach by Spirit Lake would have been to sue the NCAA. Basis you ask? In Michigan all Central Michigan University needs is approval of one of the five Chippewa/Ojibwa/Ashinabe tribes in the state, and specifically, the geographically nearest. Why doesn't Spirit Lake get similar, dare I say "equal", treatment , meaning, they're closest to UND and their approval should be enough (being one of two, which is better than one of five mind you). But ... too little, too late.

Three MVFC teams make the playoffs (NDSU, UNI, W Ill) but none got opening round byes and one is on the road no less. That's not fun for those teams or that league. Meanwhile, both Montana State and Eastern Washington are in bye weeks.

UND was a dropped pass from beating Northern Illinois at NIU. UND was a missed FG from beating Cal-Poly at CP. Where the struggles really began is when Jake Landry went down. And yes, I'll live with the "learning curve" of a redshirt freshman QB. Let that person and the WR corps all mature together.

WAC: Boise State -- gone to MWC Fresno State -- gone to MWC Hawaii -- gone to MWC (FB) and Big West Idaho Louisiana Tech Nevada -- gone to MWC New Mexico State San Jose State Utah State Given this Hawai'i (<-- that's the official way to spell it per the Hawai'i legislature ) news, I think I see why Montana really didn't want to jump at this time. It Utah State jumps to the MWC (speculated), that really leaves Idaho, SJSU, and NMSU swingin' in the wind. Idaho, SJSU, and NMSU ... that's three ... the BSC is at 13 now ... those three would make 16 for football, 14 all-sports. And that concludes today's really (dead-)WAC(-y) thought.
