  1. He goes to bed every night hoping, praying, that some day he can claim he tore down something with Ralph's name on it. That'd make him a demi-god amongst his circle of friends. But the rest of us will remember his recent run-ins with the law involving (a) the Manvel Fire Department and (b) allogations of spousal abuse.
  2. And your scenario would be terrible for all teams involved, including Minnesota and Wisconsin. The largest attendances in all three rinks involve UND, UM, and UW. You don't build something up by tearing something else down. UND FB and BB will build on their own. There's no need to speculate on (or even sound like you'd relish) a possible demise of the WCHA.
  3. The athletic department accountants blush and nod 'yes'.
  4. Well ... Some in the legislature are trying to make it illegal to smoke in your own car if someone under age 13 is in the car also. On the alcohol angle the next step wouldn't be in front of a minor in your own home but it would probably be in front of a minor in a public restaurant. Then they'd go after the "in the home" angle. Welcome to the Nanny State.
  5. Curiouser and curiouser. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41044460/ns/local_news-fargo_nd/ Welcome to Wonderland.
  6. Are we sure this isn't more about the Legislature trying to take back some of the power given via the Roundtable on Higher Ed to the ND State Board of Higher Education?
  7. Well that answers that now doesn't it.
  8. Are you sure? I'm no attorney, but here's what I found on the ND AG's website and it doesn't seem to go quite that far: http://www.ag.nd.gov/NCAA/MemorandumDecision&Order-PreliminaryInjunction.pdf (page 19 of 21) What's really sad is that the judge that wrote that injunction decision threw UND a bone about how to fight and win this on page 13:
  9. Rankings? Polls? The only poll that matters is the pole you raise a championship banner on.
  10. Most Bison fans I've talked to blame the defense for the loss by giving up the 90 yard drive to tie. Nope, not them. I say it was lost when NDSU punted on 4th and 2 and turned the ball over to a potent offense (that had admittedly been struggling that day). NDSU had been getting 4 yards per run up to that point. Run the ball, get first down, insert dagger. Instead, the NDSU coaches opted to punt. EWU had offense. How do I know? They rattled off 20 unanswered from 19 down against Delaware. They deserve the win and all that comes with it.

  12. Someone understands the phrase double entendre.
  13. Hepp, Mosey, rumors Eddy may be next, and Johnson: That's some serious shrinkage. Meanwhile ours (Dickin) got larger.
  14. Touche.
  15. But if it's really such an issue to the NCAA, why use it at all. (<-- Note lack of question mark; it's a rhetorical statement.) Can't they just say "North Dakota" as so many here advocate? Wouldn't that be the more prudent (and morally superior, as they portend to be) thing to do? This just leaves them open to so many questions.
  16. And we don't talk about the injury so opponents don't go after it. It's either "upper body" or "lower body" and nothing more.
  17. She's hurt so badly that it'd take her three swings? Normally she could do it with a glance and a waive.
  18. Not sure which national sports talk radio chain I was listening to (Fox Sports Radio, ESPN Radio, one of those) but they were prattling on about how schools like ... Kentucky and Louisville can't find quality big, inside players because there aren't skilled big men like there used to be. If they can't ...
  19. Let's call the divisions Legends and Leaders. Or maybe Bludgeoned and Bleeders.
  20. RPI? They've put out some notable talent in recent and not so recent history: Jerry D'Amigo, Adam Oates, Joe Juneau.
  21. I said this probably 10 years ago in this forum. Let's go over it again: If I know Player X on Team Y has an Injured Z, I'm going to "test" it for them at my first opportunity. So, do you want all your injury information out there in public?
  22. Fixed your post to reflect DeBoer's move to position himself for an FCS head job. That FCS OC experience could end up giving DeBoer a leg up over other candidates with head coaching experience.

  24. Too bad the Lamoureux's are with Team USA this weekend. http://undhockey.areavoices.com/
  25. Kalen DeBoer says, "Yeah, ... and?" DeBoer was 67-3, three NAIA titles, a runner-up, and a semis loss in five years at U of Sioux Falls. If UND ends up looking in the future, I'd like someone who has been a head coach at some level (beyond HS) previously.
