UND-1 Posted January 21, 2008 Share Posted January 21, 2008 Not any time soon. They needed to get it all figured out in a Master Plan so they didn't make a mistake at the beginning. Then after that if it's obvious that the Alerus is too small for UND football, the plan is to build a new on campus stadium. Whether or not they'd be able to afford a retractable roof stadium would have to be discussed. In 10 years from now, who knows? It might cost 500 million. After all, the five year goal is 500 million. Just let the state and the city pay it for us. NDSU loses $16,000 for every football game they put on TV this fall. That's also why they don't seed all 8 home games. Potentially, you could have 8 teams like UT Martin, who are really good but don't draw many fans. ESPN2 doesn't show the games for free.
