OETKB Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 1) Who can forget? Hrkac, Joyce, and Kermit the frog (obscure reference to the students of the 80's, for those of you who don't get it) 2) Eddie? 3) Not me, but I HAVE seen two of UND's NC's in person, and seen them lose to Denver in person, as well. 4) Already answered, above 5) 1992 Alum - the best 5.5 years of my life! Well, maybe not the best, but definitely memorable. Talk about not knowing what I wanted - I finished 2 majors and nearly another (difficult) minor (space studies) before applying for graduation. UNDLeafsGuy Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Did Travis Dunn go his entire career without scoring a goal Quote
farce poobah Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Did Travis Dunn go his entire career without scoring a goal http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=12163 Yes. He was like Zach Jones on this year's team. Rarely noticed, but valuable. Quote

Qiestion number five: Who on this board are alumni of UND? In the title game, Bobyck went out with Joyce and Hrkac. I think Johnson, Davidson, Parks were on the second. Too fuzzy after that Based on the links above, Tom Benson. (but 20 assists for a defensive D is like awesome) I was at the Joe. It was way nicer than the Olympia 8 years earlier. And the neighborhood was safer than the Olympia. Quote

Goon Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Paranica, Nakonechny, Bowen, Nanne was having a tough time with that group on the TV broadcast. I haven't met many people that can spell Perry's last name. Quote
If only we had Belfour Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 The # 4 goalie was actually Steve "pit" Peters NOT Daryn Fossand who was a defensman. But they were both teamates in high School at Bemidji with the late George Pelewa Quote
hermit Posted January 11, 2008 Author Posted January 11, 2008 # 4 is a Trick question, there were onlt 3 goalies on that team. And Daryn Fossand was a defensman Wrong there were four goalies. Bobber played almost the entire season with Tony and Bob. Quote

Old Barn Guy Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Tom "Benny" Benson is the goal-challenged regular. Travis Dunn did not play on the 1987 team. Craig Perry would be the fourth goalie, along with Eddie Belfour, Steve Peters, and Greg Strome. Quote

Fetch Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Yeah Steve Johnson started out with Hrkac & Joyce - But Bobyck ended the year with them - Bobyck was Fast ! I think Bobyck scored the Game winner Quote

I expected to see a big lug with tremendous strength, which he had. But I was mostly impressed with how agile he was, what great hands he had, and his sportsmanship. On just about every shift, he could have plastered someone into the boards, but he took care not to injure anyone. Dominant. RIP George. Quote
