morley Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 With the nice weather we've had lately, thought it would be a good idea to start the season off the some pregame activities. Game starts at 6:07, so meet at Old Ralph around 2 p.m.? Any takers??? Quote

Siouxman Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 The forecast is for a Canadian front coming through, resulting in a hockey game and ending a long drought of Fighting Sioux hockey. Sounds like a recipe for tailgating. Quote
Sioux_Yeah_Yeah Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 I remember tailgating last year for the exhibition game!!! Oh the memories Quote
morley Posted September 30, 2007 Author Posted September 30, 2007 I remember tailgating last year for the exhibition game!!! Oh the memories I do too, but I'm not sure Triouxper can say the same. Even though he was there Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I will be traveling to the football game in Mankato on Saturday, but will be driving back to Grand Forks early Sunday morning. I might be able to make some sort of tailgating function, if someone is willing to set it up. Quote
mikeypat15 Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I heard a high of 49 degrees next Sunday Quote
morley Posted October 1, 2007 Author Posted October 1, 2007 I heard a high of 49 degrees next Sunday Sounds like hockey weather to me. I have a grill I can load up to bring over. Not sure how many people will show up. People can either bring all their own food, or we could set it up as a potluck type. Each person brings something different. Quote
wakeboarding_crazed Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I am definitely game for the pre-game tailgating. I haven't tailgated before a hockey game before, and I'm uber-stoked for the season to start. I'm free all day after 12 noon, so I'm up for anything. Keep details posted here, and I will show up if something concrete happens. Plus, I wanna meet these super Sioux hockey fans, the true die-hards of Sioux hockey that is the best! Quote
Fetch Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I heard a high of 49 degrees next Sunday Sounds like hockey weather to me Sounds like Duck Hunting weather to me ( found the mother load of mallards Sunday) & could still be home for the game Quote
HockeyMom Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I'm really excited for Sunday. Can't wait!!!!! Quote
greenwinger_13 Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I like this tailgaiting talk way too much... Quote
luapsided Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I heard a high of 49 degrees next Sunday Man, where are you from! Do you realize the chance of them predicting the weather 24 hours from now is impossible. Anything prediction of weather over six hours away is not worth paying attention to. Quote
Prpichrocks_19 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Sweet I will come!! I think that we should have a potluck type thing that way we won't fun out of food or anything. GO SIOUX!!! Quote
greenwinger_13 Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I was expecting more out of this thread than there has been... why aren't people jumping all over this?! It certainly wouldn't take long to get a facebook group going to make it happen Quote

With the lackluster of replies I really thought there would be more. I suggest that you bring your own food. If you want to bring some type of a salad or chips to share, that is fine. But bring your own meat and buns, and definately bring your own booze. Quote

morley Posted October 8, 2007 Author Posted October 8, 2007 I though Sioux fans were from North Dakota. Apparently, they can't brave the cold for a couple of hours for some tailgating fun. Thanks to those that did show up. Quote
