Smoggy
TH: I think there was a lot of politicking going on down there. The power plays were 23 to 10. That doesn
PCM
Anyone have any clue what this is supposed to mean? I certainly don't.

dagies
Thanks for the work, PCM! Yeah, I wondered if TH should have made that comment on the air too.
siouxnami
I was hoping for: TH: How are your teammates celebrating the weekend sweep, your line-mates in particular?
nodak hockey fanatic
Maybe the bartender at Judy's will be the special guest next week.

airmail
I know Jon doesn't read the boards, but if he is having a hard time, the last thing he needs is people speculating whether he knows it or not. I took at as maybe personal troubles... not "bad reffing" troubles. Thanks, PCM!
Siouxmama
I took at as maybe personal troubles... not "bad reffing" troubles. Thanks, PCM! I read it that way, too. IMO, TH had no business making a comment about that.
PCM
I took at as maybe personal troubles... not "bad reffing" troubles. I also believe that was the intent of the comment. I'd be more interested to know what Tim meant when he spoke of the "politicking" going on in Minnesota.
The Whistler
I heard part of the show. At one point there was a caller talking about the officiating that Minnesota gets at home. He says his buddies claim that they get more penalties at home. The caller referred to the Mankato series. Then someone asked "who was the referee for that game." Of course it was campion as TH pointed out. My question is who asked the question. Was it Hakstol? If so I would have thought he would have known the answer to the question. I think it was Hakstol who asked the question and Hennessy who answered it. Swygman then made a comment about Hakstol being a good straightman. The Whistler
IMO, TH had no business making a comment about that. Well Tyler Hirsh an amateur who's in his young twenties had some personal problems and got himself kicked off of the team for the rest of his life. Goon
I also believe that was the intent of the comment. I'd be more interested to know what Tim meant when he spoke of the "politicking" going on in Minnesota. Politicking as in getting more favorable calls or? JacksonW
I also believe that was the intent of the comment. I'd be more interested to know what Tim meant when he spoke of the "politicking" going on in Minnesota. IMO Hennessy used to be the absolutely the best play-by-play guy in college hockey. He was very talented in describing the play so that you could feel that you had a grasp of the flow of the game. I thought he would end up doing NHL games in a large market somewhere. Somehow over the years he turned into the ND version of Mazacco with his over the top homerism. It is becoming harder to listen to him and get any sense of the games true nature because of his bias and his rants on the officials. It is OK to want the team you follow every week to win as long as it doesn't effect your job which is to describe the game accurately to your listeners. I think without the over the top homerism he would be special again, unlike Mazacco who will never be special with or without the homerism. And Campion was right when he called Vandervelde for tripping in the Saturday night game.
