Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 Stoa takes a hooking penalty to put the Germans on the PP. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 Okposo draws another penalty on a race for the puck on a possible breakaway. Quote
southpaw Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Zatkoff with a HUGE save! if he plays like this throughout the tourney, the U.S. has a very good chance at gold. Quote
Redneksioux Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Okposo draws another penalty on a race for the puck on a possible breakaway. Boy is he quick! Quote
jk Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 if he plays like this throughout the tourney, the U.S. has a very good chance at gold. No offense, but it's tough for me to agree when they're tied 1-1 with Germany in the third. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 if he plays like this throughout the tourney, the U.S. has a very good chance at gold. I have a feeling they'll start Frazee against Canada, though from what I've seen, Zatkoff has my vote. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 No offense, but it's tough for me to agree when they're tied 1-1 with Germany in the third. Germans play a trap like defense, which is very effective on the big sheet of ice. A lot of the U.S. shots have come from the outside. Quote
southpaw Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Is this game only on Center Ice? you can also watch it online. download a program called TVU Player from download.com install it and open it up. scroll down to the 40000 numbered channels and double click the World Jr Championship channel. It will open up in the video screen and you're basically watching tsn. you'll need at least dsl internet for this, because it's streaming video. doubtful if it works on mac computers. Quote
southpaw Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Belarus 4 Finland 3 Final the supposed best goalie in the tourney gave up four goals on 11 shots to belarus. that's rough. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 Game goes to OT. Germans thought game was over. New rules implemented to include 5 minute overtime, followed by shootout if no winner after OT. Quote
southpaw Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 germany is stacking four guys along their blue line. usa has to play dump and chase to get it into the zone. Quote
sprig Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 OT will be 4 on 4; I believe 3 pts for a win in regulation, 2 pts for a win in OT or shootout, and 1 pt for an ot loss. Quote
brianvf Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Game goes to OT. Germans thought game was over. New rules implemented to include 5 minute overtime, followed by shootout if no winner after OT. So there are no ties anymore with these new rules? Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 Germany wins in OT. Lee let the forward by him. Quote

Goon Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Germany wins in OT. Lee let the forward by him. Wouldn't you know it, Lee looks like a pylon as Germany beat the USA. Apparently we haven't lost to the Germans in a long time. Quote
southpaw Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 lee and chorney were the two d-men on the ice. both let their guys by them. Quote
