turnovers

One thing that needs to change if UND is going to continue winning is the turnover differential. Right now, UND has seven turnovers, while the opponents have just four. It's unusual for a successful team to have a negative turnover margin. It's almost unbelievable that the Sioux have yet to recover a fumble on the season through five games!

Agree with you 110%. The 2001 National Championship team had a huge positive advantage in turnover margin. We have to start taking better care of the ball. And it's not just Belmore, either; the running backs and receivers have been too careless. And the defense isn't forcing the turnovers it has in the past. If we want to hang with the big boys, we will have to reverse this.

So UND's 2001 team won a NC. Explain to me again why we wouldn't want this years team to be living up to that same level?

Because in .00000001 nanosecond after the Sioux won the national championship game, it would be in the past. Any UND fan who celebrated or spoke of the victory would automatically be living in the past.

Do I have to explain everything around here? ???;);)
