Slap Shot Posted September 27, 2006 Share Posted September 27, 2006 The point is that I agree with you that UND generally is very well-respected nationally, and that preseason polls are meaningless. However, if your intent is to come on a UND message board and pick fights, at least provide a complete and honest assessment to back up your comments. If you cannot do that, then please do not post here. I see both sides of this one. I think playing the "no respect" card is odd despite claims of, "this goes beyond the polls". UND doesn't fly under anyone's radar when it comes to college hockey and anyone with $0.02 in their head recognizes UND is one of the premier programs in the country. As big as this rivalry is even the vast majority of Gopher fans agree UND is about as good as it gets (almost anyways ). Would love to see the rest of that persons picks. Hard to give any credibility to a poll like that; would be like giving Minnesota a top 5 vote in the football polls.
