The Sicatoka Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 Well look what's being offered over at FightingSioux.com. http://www.fightingsioux.com/sports/mhocke...RELEASE_ID=1818 Quote
sprig Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 And who might bid the minimum $300 for a Fornier jersey? Quote
Fighting Sioux Fan Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 $300 is too much for any jersey for me, but I am a poor college student! Quote
sioux_11 Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 The only way I would pay $300 for a game worn jersey would be if it had gopher blood on it from when the Sioux beat the gophers or if it were Parise's. Quote

BigGreyAnt41 Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 Go for it; an unworn #11 is available. Except Parise didn't play last year. Quote
sprig Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 Except Parise didn't play last year. That's why it's "unworn" Quote
flatspin7 Posted February 12, 2003 Posted February 12, 2003 I dunno, I think some one should fork out for the Palmo, Liene or Faul jersey. And where did all the Schneekloth jerseys go!!! And just for every ones info--- UND trio programs in running a raffle for $1 a ticket and the winner gets a Jersey signed by the team, second prize is a stick signed by the team, and the third prize is one of those schedual poster signed by the team. They were there selling tickets in the Union around noon today and I would assume the same for tommorow. Its sweeeet. Quote
Ice Posted February 12, 2003 Posted February 12, 2003 I know alot of people from Lincoln and Anchorage that would like to bid $300 on a Fournier jersey!!!! Quote
turn1111 Posted February 12, 2003 Posted February 12, 2003 Look who has a bid on his jersey already, Mr Fournier, he's not even on the team and he has a bid before the ones that are on the team. Quote

sagard Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 Just as a reference, a Wyatt Smith Gopher jersey with the name plate removed sold for almost $500 on Ebay. I think $300 is a fair market price, especially for those players who will play in the NHL. I'm sure they are beautiful. Quote
choyt3 Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 Chris probably bid on it himself. He needs something to prove that he once played for a good team. Quote
Rod Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 why not stick with hockey and leave chris out of this. i think it is okay that someone bid on his jersey, more money for UND regardless of where it comes from, sounds like sour grapes on your part. stick with beating up on us gopher fans. Quote
Fighting Sioux Fan Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 What happened to Fournier anyways? Quote
Ice Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 Chris is happily back living in Anchorage and doing better than ever! Quote
flatspin7 Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 Fornier got in to a "dissagreement" with Blais and he transfered to UAA. We'll see him in the Green and Yellow of the sea wolves jersey next year, he had to sit this one out. Quote
turn1111 Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 Hey Sprig, PCM and Clayton Hoyt: It is real easy to hide behind a message board and trash someone like Fournier that HAS a life; maybe you all should pool your $300.00 and try to buy yourselves a LIFE ! Quote

teamsioux Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 WOW, people getting a little defensive about Fournier, especially the newbie posters. He was a bad seed that had many issues, what is wrong with people saying that? Turn 111....get a life!!! I don't think Clayton and Pat were hiding behind a message board, their names are right there on the screen!! See you later Mr.Fournier and don't let the door hit you on the way out!! Quote
The Sicatoka Posted February 13, 2003 Author Posted February 13, 2003 I'm sure others will agree with me that we're spending too high a percentage of our time chewing the fat about a player who left, a player whose commitment to Sioux hockey was well known, and a player who stepped up to the table on many occasions. Chris has moved on. We still miss him, even though he was not very good at checking and he got quite a few bad bounces. I'm sure his current Seawolves teammates think he's just aces. It was certainly good of Coach Hill to take a gamble on him. And I'm sure he Quote
