Siouxdonyms
First post on this site....and I am doing so as I am a very concerned and frustrated Sioux fan over the progression of hockey up there at UND. For 2 seasons now, the sioux hockey time has started apathetically slow, with only the might and tenacity of last years' seniors stepping forward to save the season....and lead us to the national championship game. This year, though a very young team, are just plain getting out played....and maybe even out coached. Last years Minnesota team was as equally as young as our Sioux team is this year, but year in and year out Gophers coaching staff somehow is able to get them to play. Not sure why this years Sioux team is having problems clicking...The last power play was awful! No cycling was occuring up top, everyone was standing still, and they are again, just being out played....For crying outloud they have almost 30 shots. Now look....a major penalty! Simply, out played and out coached at the moment. I do hope that the season can be turned around....b/c we have some of the best talent in the league on this team....SO COME ON ALREADY!!! Maybe Im overreacting, but boy it's just so frustrating watching these guys right now. We all feel your pain...on a brighter note, welcome to the board! dakotadan
And we just gave them another! I should have went to the women's game tonight. I can't imagine that they would be doing alot worse.
Siouxdonyms
34 shots on goal for the Gophers. What do we have now 7?
SFSIOUX#1
In my opinion, we just don't have a very good hockey team right now. To hell with all of our supposed super stars and 1st round draft picks, I would take a group of guys that played with a little heart. Siouxdonyms
Chorney takes a cross-checking penalty. Heck, why not just start swinging your stick at guys. If you're going to take a penalty, take a penalty!
redwing77
Chorney for cross checking. Guys, we're just not playing disciplined hockey. the 5 minute major killed us and this is just sad. I mean, can't score goals from our own end.
Siouxdonyms
Gophers score again. 5-1. Rebounds everywhere. Maybe CC/Wis is on tv.

Siouxdonyms
This is just pathetic. If the Sioux stand up, you'll hear a loud pop, cause right now, there heads are in their arsses!
Tsiouxnami
Maybe CC/Wis is on tv. It is going to be if you have satellite! At what point do the Sioux players realize that penalties are KILLING them? If not for penalties, the game would be tied! DUH!
UMDDogz
Ouch! At the DECC, Tech laeds the Dogs 2-1...it was 2-0. Kemp with tDogs goal. 2 periods complete.
redwing77
Which period was worse this one or the first period? Any way you cut it, this is just ridiculous. WOW. I can't imagine what there is to say in the lockerroom this intermission. I say put Walski in. The game is lost anyways.

They're the ones who need to take charge of this team.
747Guy
This Sioux team looks like a High School team.... a wait, they are!!!!
SFSIOUX#1
Anyone got a good joke or anything to lighten the mood? I really am at a loss for words for the performance we are seeing tonight. I wonder if Hak could rent the ice after the game and have the players do a few Herbies.

SiouxPride0303
Thank God that period is over......sigh...The shots on goal are pathetic, absolutely pathetic. 42-12 for two periods!!!! Phillipe is the only one playing out there. Penalties are killing us boys, stay outta the damn box!!!! I really hate the Gophers...and that stupid MINNESOTA song is gettin on my nerves... Light em up Hak, they're embarrassing you and themselves out there.
BIGSIOUX
Hak better be tearin into this team right now, unless there is something going on within in the team that he is trying to work through words should be flying, maybe its time to question these guys, call em out see if anyone has the cahoneys to play like a man. 7>4
Rarely have I been embarrassed by Sioux effort. Sadly, this is one of those times. Nothing worse than getting dominated by the Gophers. Hackstol should let Phil have a free shot at every other guy in that locker room.
ND Pride
I feel sorry for Phil, he deserves better than this.

Thats part of the problem. There doesn't seem to be an ounce of leadership. All I read are the press clippings of how great the young kids are. Sounds good... but it doesn't show on the ice. Oh well, at least there is great weather in Grand Forks.

I am not here to troll-I have said the same thing about the Gophers many years. You need to add the grinders/4 year players to the superstars.
