Fun Fact: there was an Ivy League 1933-34 to 1960-61. how is that all those old blue blood schools out east (all the ivy schools) don't have men's hockey????? Quote

That’s a shame… In an era where guys are playing 2-3 years in the ECHL or AHL and then coming back to play college, I'm surprised there isn't a way to play college even after you've signed your ELC. You'd think there'd be a way to sign, try and make the NHL roster, and then come back and play NCAA if you don't. Quote

There were schools that were going to try and commit players that signed their ELC but didn’t play in the NHL, went back to the CHL. Quote
atxsioux Posted Saturday at 11:15 PM Posted Saturday at 11:15 PM In theory if you don't accept / defer your signing bonus I feel like they would have an argument Granted, not sure how many players actually feel like doing that hahah Quote

Like I said the western conferences should bid their home arenas (if they meet the criteria, like how Yost doesn’t) and the eastern conferences bid neutral sites. UND and Denver should bid their arenas since they like to host. 1 Quote

As long as there is an alternate that isn’t a home site, they will need to accept it. Quote
brianvf Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago BGSU picks up a commit from a 23yo that has played 102 ECHL games. Totally normal. NCAA needs to get rid of this ECHL/AHL to NCAA loophole. Quote

cberkas Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago There was an interesting part about exposure toward the end of the interview (there was a weird dead time about 48 minutes in). She started to talk about how the Hockey East Commissioner and her were talking about interconference series (I'm guessing like old WCHA/Hockey East one). Again, the commissioners, schools, ADs and College Hockey Inc need to get the Ice Breaker and US Hockey Hall of Fame Game on TNT or ESPN. This is a long overdue to get more casual fans to watch college hockey. Quote
