atxsioux Posted Tuesday at 12:06 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:06 AM Pretty surprised with how he's started so far. (Will give him a little bit of a break based on being injured) Have no stats to back this up but I want to say he's the first 1st round pick to transfer from blue blood to blue blood? Quote

Charlie Stramel to Michigan State, Isaac Howard to Michigan State, and Matthew Wood to Minnesota are all first round picks in recent years to transfer. It depends what you consider a blue blood. Sacha definitely came from and went to a blue blood. Quote
siouxfaninseattle Posted Tuesday at 01:12 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:12 AM Does anyone know if the Friendship Four games count toward the NPI? They wouldn't if they were considered exhibition games but I don't know if they were considered exhibition. Quote

Wisco is the weird case I think you can have an argument about them being one but they’ve been so down the past few years before Hastings I would say they aren’t considered. (Nit picking tho) I guess the point being is players rarely leave a good development situation to go to one that’s of the same level so it’s just interesting to see how it plays out Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted Tuesday at 04:48 AM Posted Tuesday at 04:48 AM Michigan State going from 2009 to 2023 with only one tournament appearance destroyed any chance of them being a blue blood for a long time. Wisconsin has enough natties to be forgiven for some down years of late. Quote

nascar99 Posted Thursday at 12:49 AM Posted Thursday at 12:49 AM Ran into Bob Motzko and a few of the Gophers players at the convenience store I frequent in Columbus about an hour ago (Minnesota in town to play Ohio State). Wished Motzko the best of luck coaching the US at World Junior this month, said I was surprised that Zellers didn’t make Final Evaluation Camp Roster, Motzko said “He just barely missed”. Also thanked him for developing Rinzel (& Moore as he pointed out) very nicely for my Blackhawks. Quote

Red Wings, Blackhawks, Penguins, etc.? Beer league teammate from there said something to that effect. 1 Quote

Only been in Columbus since 2021. I like going to Blue Jackets games, cheap & fun. The younger generation and true Ohio born & bred people are most definitely Blue Jackets fans, but there are tons of transplants here, more than you'd think. Columbus being a growing city in the center of the state attracts a ton regionally, plus the number of out of state Ohio State students who stay here for jobs post graduation. Lots of Northwest Ohio/Southeast Michigan transplants who are Red Wings fans and Eastern Ohio/Western Pennsylvania transplants who are Penguins fans here. Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted yesterday at 12:35 AM Posted yesterday at 12:35 AM Are hockey tickets free for students at OSU? The revenue from student tickets can't outweigh the benefits of making them free, or like $5. Their capacity would allow it. Quote
brianvf Posted yesterday at 07:03 AM Posted yesterday at 07:03 AM Goofs beat OSU 6-3. Also, Miami's big goalie recruit looks closer to getting his NCAA eligibility: https://viewfromtheglass.com/2025/11/30/miami-belpot-wrap-up/ Quote Goalie Shika Gadzhiev appears a step closer to becoming eligible. While MU split with St. Cloud State last week, Gadzhiev was in his home country of Slovakia passing his high school equivalence exam. The puck is in the NCAA’s end now, and it’s likely Gadzhiev will finally be cleared for either the RedHawks’ series at Denver next weekend or their final home series of 2025 vs. Colorado College. And Miami still hasn't picked their captains for the year?? Quote Miami still hasn’t named captains, which is highly unusual for a team two months and 14 games into its regular season. Blake Mesenburg appeared the early frontrunner to wear the ‘C’, but he has been scratched the last six games. Quote
.357 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Double-header on BTN tonight. MI/MSU at 4 MT & MN-OSU at 6:30 MT. Many other games as well that have NPI implications for UND, including Cornell at Clarkson. Noticed last night that MN's defeat of OSU marginally bumped up all the NCHC teams' NPI, while marginally bringing down all the B10 teams'. Quote

cberkas Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago BTN not counting a dump in as a shot on goal for Minnesota, so they'd have a shot on goal in the 10 minutes Quote
cberkas Posted 16 hours ago Author Posted 16 hours ago BTN please replace Ben Clymer with Eric Johnson Quote
