Kid is playing well for being the backup.  I've been impressed with Mandan.  Should've beaten Century last week.

Mandan up 6-1 on Minot late in the third.  Not a good day to be a #1 seed in either region.

Minot's goalie situation wasn't good but holding the Magi to 1 is impressive.

Not insinuating anything here but wonder if illness had a bit of a roll in these 2 huge upsets. The way that crud is going around I had to cancel my bantam game with Minot tomorrow because I'm down to 8 players

True. The backup goalie played the last 2 non conference games since there is no JV anymore.

All credit to Mandan, but if you told me Minot was going through a bug I'd believe it.  They didn't look normal last night.  Again, Mandan very much deserved that win.

With Minot being Minot, I actually think this loss ticks their odds up a few notches for success at state now. Undefeated burden is off their minds, and likely are more motivated and angry.

True yes, the backup played vs Minot and J town. But not Bott or Mandan. 

Either way, it shows anything is possible when a top tier goalie is in net. He'll give them opportunity to steal more games, and since they have a handful of kids who can bury the puck this year, it makes them a dangerous team despite being 5-11.

I think the only illness they had is the backup goaltender plague.  And Mandan plugging up the d zone plague.

Six goals on 17 shots just can't happen.  I'd say 4 or 5 of those ones Keller likely has, but can't take away credit from Mandan.  Those kids battled.

I also nominate Flinn Lockwood from GFC. Remarkably similar to 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs' movie star Flint Lockwood.

Keller likely has them all.  Perhaps minus the first one, which was tipped.  But I agree...take advantage of it, and Mandan did just that.
