Why the hell do they travel so much?

Also, why not put Jocie back in there for the last 21 seconds so she can help get a good look? Don’t think we took enough of an advantage of SDSU’s poor half.

Offense is having another tough time getting any consistent pressure- which is leading to the dumb turnovers.
At least we are up at the half- Jocie is doing her thing!

They are close only because they hired Hutter. I have seen things from this year that I've never seen the previous years with Mal. Better rotations. Making adjustments.  Better offense. Looking at scouting reports and making adjustments.  Like tonight how they double downing on sdsu big.  Mal never did any of this before. Not a coincidence it's happening this year after the hire.

Second half we are back to dribble fest again.  Wasn’t sure we were going to score more than 3 in the third quarter until 2 minutes left.    Now at 19 turnovers with a quarter to go.  Can’t win games that way but when your entire offense is dribbling continually you get what you deserve.  We were fortunate state couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn the first half or we would have been buried a long time ago.  They were shooting 20 percent to our 50 percent and we were still only up 8 at half.  Someone is wide open continually with our defense.

South Dakota made adjustments but we have not adjusted run any kind offense to much individuals play just said one assist. Hutter gets us prepared then Mallory slowly through game reverts us back to what she has been doing for tenure here.  To where we are making turnovers and playing for our selves. I am so tired of this nothing changes. Val Sussex I can’t stand to listen too either has no concept of what’s happening on the floor and never even mention some criticism of coaching moves or what we are not doing.

Exactly . Looked like Hutter game plan to begin and Mal took over her game plan at half.

Was Chaves there how can you as head of Athletic department watch this and not even have some comment to fans of UND on performances this women’s basketball team has had last few games.  A division I team averaging over 20 turnovers and now a game with one assist for the game. Just those two stats you know we lost by double digits. How many games this season have we exceeded 20 turnovers? Also the team gave up some where in last part of third quarter. Also we didn’t have many shots at timeouts don’t want us to see what’s happening on the coaching either. I think this is worse this season of coaching than her first season when we won only two games we have enough talent to be better than this.

It’s obvious that Mal is holding this team back. She’s just not bright enough to get them thru challenging moments and calm them down to limit turnovers and also build them up to believe that they can succeed. Great coaches make adjustments and can turn the tide of any game- as witnessed tonite on the other side.

Unless Mal has a monopoly on poor coaching decisions, somebody in that coaching staff ought to be able to impart that endless dribbling is a problem for this team - I.e. 20 plus turnovers and no assists.  Teaching them during practice not to stare at everyone and telegraph where they are passing to should be part of the entire coaching staff’s job.  Helping to get these girls to understand a team defensive rotation concept where someone is not wide open every time down the court is a coaching staff’s role.  It starts at the top but they clearly aren’t getting much from anyone else either.  Sorry, but nobody on this staff gets a pass.  There is more talent on this team than how they play night in and night out.  25 plus turnovers on a regular basis?  I didn’t think that was even possible.  1 assist for an entire game.  By all means, let’s keep that offense…

Experienced coaching was on full display last night. In the first half AJ was visibly frustrated, but he never attacked the refs. He kept his always calm composure and used his experience to swing the game. He switched things up in the third and well, the rest is history.

I am sick of Mal, game after game, the entire game, attacking the refs. Did she get that from being around Brewster? I wouldn't want to be a ref at one of UND's games if you have to take that verbal abuse every game. Are we seeing vengeful calls now? She needs to step back and start looking at her coaching inadequacies instead of constantly blaming the reffing. There is more talent on this team than we are seeing, these ladies deserve better.
