They are trying something out during tonight’s game: if a shot resulting in a goal is taken from beyond this arc, it is worth 2 points. #auoragames

wtf,  seems bizarre.  Is there a lack of shots from the point?   are the gals shying away from the game because of goal front or board battles?  How will this put non parents in the seats?

All the two-point arc would do is reduce scoring.

Why?

You going to tip in front and risk making a two-point goal a one-point goal; yet, untipped shots from that far out are gimme saves.

Instead of two points from that arc, why not give them an extra point for every person in attendance who is a non-family member, non-friend of someone associated with the team, and who paid full price for a ticket?
