alum05
under this link: http://ushl.com/college0304.htm if u go down to Sioux Falls Stampede, it says Matt Moreland-UND. Anyone know anything about this?
jk
Very interesting catch. Thanks for pointing it out. I'm sure someone will be able to help with this one. If it's true, then congrats to Matt and please work extra hard next year to get ready.
The Sicatoka
I thought the rumor, talking about Sioux Falls Stampede players, was that Grafton's Drew Sando was walking on, not Grand Forks' Matt Moreland.
#1siouxfan22
Drew Sando has a try out this summer with the team. He's not on the team for sure yet. And hopefully the sioux grab moreland before another team does.
BinaIsGod
You want a really inside scoop??? Matt is walking on next year, and has been told he will probably make the team.
#1siouxfan22
For Matt are you talking about this coming season or the next season
SIOUXPERGREEN
Matt and Drew are both trying to walk on this year, good luck to both. I would like to see Mcintyre try as well, but he may get an offer from UND to come here in another year. Those three would make a pretty good line together. #1siouxfan22
That line would kick ass. I want to see Moreland and Sando tho. Their fun to watch
Fanfromafar
I don't think it's etched in stone that Moreland is walking on this year as Sioux Falls thinks there's enough of a chance it doesn't happen to keep him on their protected list. http://www.ushl.com/protected0304.cfm?id=SF
#1siouxfan22
If he does good enough this year at sioux falls mayb he will get a scholarship. With sioux falls getting the number one pick in Tom Gorowsky and having other good players coming to the team I think he will do just fine. Wilbur
Matt and Drew are both trying to walk on this year, good luck to both. I would like to see Mcintyre try as well, but he may get an offer from UND to come here in another year. Those three would make a pretty good line together. I don't know if Matt will make the team directly out of high school, but if he does more power to him. Sando is a pretty good player who should have no problem making the team with the junior experience that he has. Either way, go Nodak boys!!! 1992bm
From someone that knows. Matt is going to UND this Fall. Speculation is over.
#1siouxfan22
Then do you know about Sando coming also?
Wilbur
From someone that knows. Matt is going to UND this Fall. Speculation is over. Does he plan on playing hockey/walking on??
redwing77
Does he plan on playing hockey/walking on?? This is a good question. Unless Erik did sign professionally with that German league and Blais has decided not to bring back some players, having Sando and Moreland walk on would mean one or both of them would not get much, if any, ice time. Since Matt, as good as he is, isn't listed as a highly touted draft pick, that means that he'd most likely stay all four years. This means he'd basically throw away one year of his eligibility. Unless he comes in and redshirts, I'd tell him to stay in Sioux Falls.
#1siouxfan22
Matt should play a year in Sioux Falls it would help him out alot for when he plays for the Sioux some day
CoteauRinkRat
From someone that knows. Matt is going to UND this Fall. Speculation is over. I will also confirm this also, he will be attending UND and has been invited to "try-out" for the Sioux.
#1siouxfan22
Moreland and Sando are both invited to "try out" then
FrozenTundra
I want Matt Moreland to play hockey for the Sioux. However, I just don't see how he is anywhere near being ready now. Although if he doesn't want to play juniors, then the Sioux are smart getting him now and putting up with some growing pains.
#1siouxfan22
I think he needs to play a year of juniors personally. but its not my choice. hopefully he works hard this summer. along with Sando good luck to both

The Sicatoka
6' and 165? May I recommend the steak dinner, the protein shake, two-liters of water, and a two-hour session with an iron pile? Repeat daily until at least 185.

Repeat daily until at least 185. I'd recommend the same regime for Messrs. Oshie, Chorney and Miller. And plenty of hours on the bikes for everybody. The Sicatoka
I'd recommend the same regime for Messrs. Oshie, Chorney and Miller. And plenty of hours on the bikes for everybody. You've convinced me. A steady round of that regimine, including the bike, for all of them! PS - GF is an nasty town to ride the bike in. You never get to coast (rest) because there's never a downhill. ScottM
I think a nice, "cross country" tour west of the valley, where the land starts rolling would be good training. Say by Park River, etc.
