mezzy05 Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 Welcome to the insane world of Crazy Claude and his trumpet... Can't believe he made an appearance at the Ralph...do you know that guy gets paid over $1000 a night for his stuff? I've seen him at AHL games in San Antonio and various NHL games. What did you think? Did he give an "Air Power" out to any men/women in uniform? How about banging on the glass with his hat turned sideways? Pretty funny the first time you see him, but he needs to come up with some new stuff...which I heard he may have in climbing over the glass??? Congrats to the Sioux...from San Antonio!!! Quote
SiouxMeNow Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 HE was pretty cool - - you should have seen him almost bite it falling over the glass Friday night. Climbed up on top - blew his bit - the toppled over. Caught himself with his legs but nutted himself getting back upright. He almost had to crawl up the steps...anyone else catch this? Quote
#1GreeneFan Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 I saw him in Subway after the game..i was gonna ask him how he was feeling. When he was in the section I was sitting in he did this pretend sneeze so he had a bunch of stuff hanging from his nose. Quote
Diggler Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 It was all an act. A guy said that as soon as he hit the concourse, he was a-ok and sprinted to the next section, He has gone from cool to tool. Quote
jerseychaser1 Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 Do you think they'd pay me 1,000 dollars if I went from section to section playing my violin? Quote
Fedorov Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 Do you think they'd pay me 1,000 dollars if I went from section to section playing my violin? Depends how cute you are. Quote
Fetch Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 I enjoyed him - Think he really added alot to what could have been dull moments - & we have to play these guys again I think the announcer (Scott Hennon or some other person thats is miked & has the personality to get folks going) could also help add to the crowd getting more into it all - The wave is OK once - But I like that he got it going I wish there were all kinds of stuff like this to keep the place busy / entertaining - Maybe get sections competeing who can yell the loudest Cheering back & forth etc. Getting the cheerleaders miked would help too Crazy George was worth every penny he made helping get the Metrodome going. Diggler Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 You give me $1000 and I'll give you 10x the entertainment. I will go crazy and make people laugh and get loud. Quote
jerseychaser1 Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 Hey Diggler, how bout we split the cash and we'll both go out there. I'll be the girl with the violin and you can be the person who cheers everybody on. Quote
johnsowe Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 why did they have this trumpet guy I thought we already had a band. Quote
Smoggy Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 good f'ing question. They could've asked someone in the band to play charge and things like that. Quote
Fedorov Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 Hey Diggler, how bout we split the cash and we'll both go out there. I'll be the girl with the violin and you can be the person who cheers everybody on. Then we will have to start a poll about which entertainer is better looking. Quote
jerseychaser1 Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 I was wondering that myself actually. It would have been funny to see one of the band members echo him back. Quote
MinnesotaNorthStar Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 It was cool the first few times he did it...but it got old very fast IMHO. When I found out that the "fall" was staged...it just ruined the whole thing. Quote
Diggler Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 When he plays his stupid trumpet, instead of chanting Let's Go Sioux, we should chant Go Home Claude. Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 When he plays his stupid trumpet, instead of chanting Let's Go Sioux, we should chant Go Home Claude. I agree, it got annoying and old in a hurry. Quote
YaneA Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 Boy, tough crowd! I thought Claude was great and judging by the fact that he got section after section to follow his cue and yell, others must have shared the opinion. I think he was worth the money. Not to say that Diggler and jerseychaser1 wouldn't also be crowdpleasers... Quote
