UNDvince97-01
Are you really an idiot, or are you working your way to that point? ScottM, you're right on both counts. he is an idiot, and he is working his way, with great leaps and bounds i might add, towards being the king of idiocy. keep up the good work man, you're almost to the peak of your potential. UND Fan
Orange & Maroon Sioux - Welcome to our board! Glad you have joined us. Please excuse a lot of the childish discussions and posts - mostly by NDSU fans but also from some of ours. We will be interested in your thoughts and comments on some of these issues. Glad to hear you are a Sioux fan!
Bisonfan1234
The most pathetic thing about winter sports is that you can't participate without some sort of apparatus attached to your body. Humans are simply not meant to be outdoors and functioning on snow and ice. Dry land games are the only true sports that we have that can be participated in by ALL countries. You never cease to amaze. This is coming from a Bison fan, a school whose name is built upon its success about a decade and a half ago in a winter sport, football. Those wintery, snowy, icy conditions helped NDSU win many a football tilt, and now you are trashing it? I can hear your mom calling you, it must be time to go home. PCM
The most pathetic thing about winter sports is that you can't participate without some sort of apparatus attached to your body. Yeah, I've never seen any football players with anything attached to their bodies. Of course, every nation in the world plays football. And what's that summer game you have to play with a wooden club and a leather glove? I've also seen guys using a big stick to jump over a pole. I guess none of those are real sports. Seriously. How old are you?

BisonMav
It already has a D1 team in UND hockey. Then again, our D1 opponents, e.g., Minnesota, Wisconsin, Boston College, Michigan, etc., generally don't have hyphens in their names, or are the poor stepchild of a "crown jewel" whose student body consists of idiots too dumb to get into the top school. On second thought, 'SU may have found finally its niche outside of UND's long shadow. Which schools have hyphenated names?
The Sicatoka
I guess I've missed the "American football" constests in the Summer Olympics all these years. O&M Sioux: Welcome. One key note: NDSU is going Divison I-AA. That's "tier II" of Division I football. (The Hokies are I-A. Georgetown or Drexel plays DI-AA football.) Winter conditions never helped NDSU win any game, period. People have a misguided opinion that weather effects the games. Nope. It doesn't matter if you live in the cold or not, you NEVER get used to it. You stay indoors all day @ 70 degrees...the temp that humans are naturally confortable at. OK let me revise my opinion on why Winter Sports are unnatural for humans: you have to have special apparatus for your feet in every winter sport (skates, skis, luge, bobsled, etc). Humans are obviously not made to walk or run through snow or on ice. All summer sports are dry land training where all you need is a good pair of shoes. The Sicatoka
That's right. Ban all sports with metal appendages to the bottom of the footwear! No hockey skates. No golf spikes. bigmrg74
then please, explain to us how Swiming, Diving, Triathlon, and Gymnastics would all fit into your defination of Summer Sports when they don't need to wear shoes all the time in them. and how are shoes not special apparatuses? the only way you could not have those in sports if they went all natreal like they did back in the first olympics in Greece. Bisonfan1234
They are not used to it...and neither are we!! We stay indoors all day where it's 70 degrees. To say that were used to it should imply that we don't need coats or don't even feel cold. bull$%!#! If anything we're more sensitive to the cold because we fell it all the time! We won those games because we were the better team!!!! Not because of the weather. The weather caused us to f$%k up just as much as them. Hardly an advantage. Bisonfan1234
Spikes. Cletes. Turf spikes. All "special appartus." Nope. You're spinning the meaning. Cleats are nothing more than extentions on the shoes. You can take off the cleat (in fact many shoes let you do this) and still use the shoe just fine. But take the blade off a skate or the ski off the boot and it's completely useless. LOL! I'd actually pay to see hockey without skates! A bunch of morons out their flailing around....oh wait...that's what it is now. I'll just stick to the true winter sport of America: basketball.
