Especially at a small school like Wake Forest, hockey could help the school attract students from northern states. The hockey arena at the local fairgrounds is suitable, and it's directly adjacent to their other sports arenas/statdiums. That would probably give reason for Liberty to make the jump as well. It's Wake Forest home arena. They have had NC State, North Carolina, and High Point home games there. I'm positive another school in the area plays there also. Quote
cberkas Posted yesterday at 01:49 AM Author Posted yesterday at 01:49 AM With the sale of the Utah Grizzlies and the new owners wanting to move them to Trenton, NJ. The Maverik Center is getting an update and will be empty after next year. Not a bad arena for the schools in Salt Lake City Metro with Utah being the closest to West Valley City. If the light rail went to Provo or Ogden that could be a way to get students from UVU, BYU, and Weber State there. It will be interesting to see what will happen to the Maverik Center in the next few years Quote

SiouxFan100 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Sure would be nice to get more hockey schools. The momentum seems to be going in the right direction. Quote
