cberkas Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 The final game for SFU against NCAA teams. I’m also sure they are ending hockey there. Quote
cberkas Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 In last game ever, Simon Fraser comes full circle with Michigan hockey Good read Quote
cberkas Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 She has the money to fund it herself and should if she wants Michigan to have a team for the pettiest reason to have a team. Michigan would have to build a new arena because there are only two lockers (from what I've other say) at Yost. Football won't let the Hockey team expand Yost into the parking lot because they want the parking. Now the Western Michigan could do the biggest troll job to Michigan and add a woman's team when their new arena is done. Quote
cberkas Posted March 15 Author Posted March 15 UMary and Jamestown both eliminated only Minot alive of the local teams at the ACHA National Championship Quote
cberkas Posted March 18 Author Posted March 18 Ohio win the ACHA D1 FGCU beats OSU for the ACHA D2 Ohio come back to the NCAA D1. You have a NCAA D1 coach and just need the arena 3500 to 4000 FGCU one can hope you finally make the jump with how the Stanley Cup like to live there. Quote

Well this could be interesting when it’s all said and done. The Bucs pulled out of this. Quote
cberkas Posted March 31 Author Posted March 31 Not much about the progress of The Mosaic Quarter. Looks like they are almost at the part to install the pipping for the rinks. The ice plant looks to be in. The big thing going on is the field house being constructed. 1 Quote

cberkas Posted April 1 Author Posted April 1 Tomorrow is the day to give people hope a team is going NCAA D1 Quote
Fratt Mattin Posted April 1 Posted April 1 OK State, Iowa State, and UNLV would all make a lot of geographic sense for the NCHC if they ever decide to make the jump. I know in the current landscape more schools are cutting than adding sports though, so it's probably just a pipe dream for now 1 Quote

They have a new arena in the works for basketball and gymnastics. Interesting that gymnastics get more people than basketball to games/events. GCU is one I could see following ASU if they had an arena. UNLV is going to be doing something at the Frozen Four. Quote

cberkas Posted April 4 Author Posted April 4 There is a plan for UNLV to move up to NCAA D1, waiting for the right time to make the announcement. As some of us have thought, around the Frozen Four sounds like a perfect time. 2 1 Quote

cberkas Posted April 18 Author Posted April 18 More about it, some teams that stand out to me. D1: Utah, Drury, Missouri State, and NC State D2: Tampa and Weber 1 Quote
cberkas Posted April 21 Author Posted April 21 Not really a surprise, Tennessee State will not play this year, maybe next year, or it won’t happen. The schools financials is why. Quote
cberkas Posted April 21 Author Posted April 21 The yearly (seems yearly) post where someone says Iowa needs a team ( this has been shot down by the AD multiple times). Edit: People keep saying Iowa would draw well there, I don’t think so. The volleyball team averages around 2000 there while this big matches are at the basketball arena. 1 Quote
cberkas Posted April 22 Author Posted April 22 https://thehockeynews.com/ncaa/latest-news/opinion-why-the-university-of-iowa-could-be-closer-to-ncaa-hockey-than-we-think If you look at volleyball and ECHL attendance. A NCAA team would draw 2,500 max in a 5,100 seat arena. There’s a better chance a USHL team ends up there than a NCAA team. I could see Drake, if that arena gets built, and Iowa State have a team before Iowa. Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted Saturday at 02:23 AM Posted Saturday at 02:23 AM Noticed a half dozen people trending on EP with ACHA 2 as their league. OK State getting a bunch of former D1 players and D3 caliber recruits. Hopefully they pick up steam with donors. Quote
